Hope you are correct Golden. My friend and I argue frequently about who has a better recruiting class this year. He's claiming Garnett will be there 1/7. Other than that he didn't give me any other details.

I thought I just read somewhere today that Garnett has said that he cancelled his visits to both Miami and Oklahoma because he could not see himself attending either school.

Here you go:

I’m going to visit Stanford (Jan. 13) and that will be it for me,” Garnett said. “I’m down to Stanford, Notre Dame and Michigan and no longer looking at any other schools. I was going to also visit Oklahoma and Miami, but I just can’t see myself going to those two schools.

That's beautiful thanks. Can't wait to rub that in my buddy's face!

As it stands right now, our class is definitely better.

EDIT: I cannot read.

Not sure why we are chasing anohter OL. We are so thin on schollie numbers. I would love to have this kid, but we need RB, WR and DB's.

It is pretty funny to be here talking about limited scholarships. 3-4 years ago, we were talking about how we could get 4-5 early enrolls and still take 25. How the world has changed.

Funny though how I go look at Alabama's class and they are again taking 25+ kids. They will have taken like 110 kids in 4 years. Anybody wonder how they stay elite. Just dump the bottm feeders every season. Sabin is such a scumbag.

Did you see the Stanford game perhaps? A stud like Garnett would certainly help us in the trenches. And we have 3 WRs and 5 DBs and are still recruiting more in each group. What more do you want?

In order to achieve ideal depth at those 3 positions, we need (over and above current verbals) 1 RB, 2 WRs, and 2 CBs. I think we'll end with 5/6 RBs, 7/8 CBs, and 12/12 WRs. That'll leave us in great shape, so I expect the staff to take the best of whoever's left (which definitely includes Garnett).

Besides, ideal OL depth is 15-16. We'll be at 15 for 2012 if Golic gets a 5Y, but without him we're only at 14. Bringing on Garnett with Golic's scholarship is a no-brainer.

Forgot to mention how many JC's players they bring in.

Gonna be tough to yank him out off the Left Coast. Do work, Coaches.

That said, excellent interview. Obviously a very smart, articulate kid. I like him a lot.

If he is really into doing Pre-Med for school and have the 40yr decision he should talk to Kyle Rudolph.

His surgeon for his hamstring surgery was a Notre Dame football alum.

Well connected poster on II talked to a contact with Stanford. Stanford seems still seems like the team to beat but we've made up ground. I know this isn't really news, but just solidifies what we already know.

Those are some pretty weak reasons to attend Michigan.

True, but sounds like he has a pretty good sense of humor. Is there anything more lovable than a behemoth of a man with a soft side and a bit of wit? Best people to know, IMO.
