Might be seeing this kid for the next four years. He is expected to announce to Pitt tomorrow.

Wonder what this kid will do now that Graham is gone. It will be very interesting to see who Pitt hires.

If this thing is going down the way im hearing it, it would be worth our staff to at least throw him a line feel him out.

24/7 lists him as 4* 96 ranking, Mahone is 3* 87 for comparison sake.
ESPN 4* 83 rank in ESPN 150
Scout 5* #4 overall back, 1 place ahead of Brionte Dunn, Mahone is 4* #22 overall.

Seems like a helluva back.

IMO, he'd be a dream pick up to add to this class. I think he may be a star at the next level.

Guys, there are character questions with this kid. ND never gave him a solid look because of it. He's not in play here regardless of whether he stays with Pitt or not...

My whole family is from New Castle Pa and they have been watching him play since 8th grade. Hopewell is in the same conference as New Castle (my high school) which is the AAA parkway. Not even close to a tough conference with D1 talent. New Castle beat them 32-28 without one recruit over DII. That being said he is a GREAT back, but the competition is going to be a huge jump. I or anyone I have talked to has never heard anything negative about his character. He did knock up a girl his senior year (so did I...lol) but other than that he is a straight up kid. I'm curious NDLA because you know your stuff...What did you hear about this kid?? Everyone from the area seems to think he is such a nice guy. He has no intrest in ND, he loves Pitt not going anywhere....From what I hear BAMA tried their balls off to get him and he wasn't interested.

Good post. Never underestimate ND fans seeing "character issues" when a top ranking recruit not being pursued by staff.

Aniway, as already stated, his GF is in Pitt. Twins on the way, and he is as solid as they come to Pitt.

Urban tried to call him by contacting his HS coach. Shell snubbed him saying he isn't interested even with UFM at the helm. Didn't even a phone call. Just let him know through his coach. He is all Pitt.

It's been passed on a couple of boards from knowledgeable guys, and a person I trust who has family ties in the area said the same thing. I shouldn't have posted it though, because I'm not going to get into specifics out of respect for the young man. My bad - just wanted to let you know that ND wasn't getting into this race even if the young man decided to open things up (which I know that he's not).

Bullsh!t. I'm not just some fan making bullsh!t up. I know that there are some ND fans that will do that (just like there are OSU fans that are in complete denial about the filthiness of their program), but I'm not one of them. Nice try, but do better.

we've never been after this guy so he obviously doesn't tickle our staff's fancy...besides with his measurements he doesn't fit the type of back we're looking take since will mahone committed.

character issues or not he's obviously not what we're looking for and i'll leave it at that.

i hadn't ever heard anything until NDLA said something...so i was reviewing several different boards and actually it was mentioned(character issues) several times on 2 different boards...as i have always trusted what LA has said...i will believe this!
