More excited than the players? I am seeing lynch doing great, teo playing his butt off, nix playing like a beast and with a heavy heart.

Then you have turnover Tommy and his fumble and int and missed wide open td 100% on him. Now the ruffer and our db's are a different story.

I apologize for the Rees fans...Tommy has seriously regressed this year. I have no idea for Kelly's stubbornness when it comes to Tommy, however, it is clear to me that Hendrix should be starting....

Hendrix has a stronger (maybe not quite as accurate, although, I can't tell from the past 4 games) arm, obviously quicker legs, and the ability to run the option.

He, or even Dayne Crist, for all his turnovers, give us a better chance to win....I love Tommy, but Tommy is not progressing...he's regressing dramatically....

Frustrating....

I LOVE this team.
I RESPECT and ADMIRE every player that chooses to wear the golden helmet.
I thank Rees for saving the season last year with some clutch plays and for a solid season this year.
Now please make a switch to someone else.

-Manti Teo has to be the most over rated prospect we've ever had. Very solid player and seems to be a great kid, but with the amount of hype he came with I expected at least Ray Maluga type of impact plays.
Can anyone name one huge play he's made in 3 years?
I can't even think of a big hit he's laid on someone besides the Western Michigan game.
This is a game made for middle linebackers.
An All-American MLB should be blowing up this power running game.

Most of our O has been regressing. Our O-line can't pass block or run block today and with Jonas out our run game has looked horrible. Go back and watch our pass plays, our WR's aren't getting seperation (not that Tommy could hit them tonight and I wonder if he is more injured than he is letting on), besides Floyd and Eiffert.

It's one thing to want to give Crist or Hendrix an opportunity in the second half, but you're seriously delusional if you think we'd somehow be winning if we'd just started a different quarterback in the first half. We've played poorly in nearly every facet.

Well I can already tell I won't be reading your posts. Rees is playing bad but Gutless. SMH
Well I dont mean to rattle your cage but my point is any time any team presures him, he panics and makes mistakes! Not 1 not 2 but many mistakes in my book that is gutless

I'm as frustrated as all of you but i want to throw out some things of encouragement on an otherwise dismal night:

1. I'm still happy with an 8-4 season this year. Now let's just win our bowl game. Then next year, let's shoot for 9-3. This program wasn't going to turn around overnight. The fact that our biggest liability on offense is our QB and we still won 8 games i actually see as a major sign of encouragement.

2. Stanford is better than us. It's unfortunate that we are getting blown out and can never win a big game against a Top 10 team, but Stanford is better and this was a wake up call to a lot of fans out there that thought this team realistically had a chance at the BCS if we won this game.

3. This game actually has me feeling good because now i firmly believe that Kelly doesn't really like Rees that much and he won't have any allegiance to him next Spring. Rees might win the starting job but it'll be because he beat out Hendrix and Golson.

4. Lynch other than completely whiffing on Luck that time is playing a heck of a game.

5. Zeke Motta actually made a play on defense!!

6. Tommy Rees actually made some of his nicest passes of the season on that second drive of the game before he fumbled.

7. We get the ball to start the second half.

OK that's all I have.

Crist starts the second half, drives the Irish down the field with 5 of 6 passing; gets to the red zone; fumbles, returned for a TD, 28-0 Cardinal; HCTI laughs at everyone.

You're absolutely right. It was good while it lasted...but we're now seeing the real Tommy and the toll he takes over a full season.

I can't wait until this season is over. What a nightmare this year from the opening drive in game one to this game. I love ND, but this is tough to watch.

Rees fans have zero credibility going forward. Hopefully he never takes another snap in a gold helmet. Go Irish!!!!!!!!!!!

You have a great point...but I disagree. I think Manti isn't the kind of backer that's going to make those huge plays, but be a solid tackler and great leader. He's more of a London Fletcher

No he is the problem.

No helping you then, as you aren't watching the O-line false start, miss blocks, and our DB's pass interefere and Wood dance around instead of run forward, oh yeah and I forgot Tommy missed that FG. SMH

hi, new to the board- notre dame alum 09..

can someone explain to me why BK always lectures on consistency and yet he is one of the most inconsistent persons in this team.

IT took him a whole spring and summer to decide that Crist was the starting QB; he had a bad half and he gets benched as 2nd QB for the rest of the year. Tommy wins games - not that hard with the quality of receivers we have to just sit and throw.. and then the same happens in this game and he cant make a QB decision?

He says dayne is 2nd QB yet Hendrix is in there, he asks and ask for consistency in every press conference, even going into the half and he shows no consistency..

How do QB scrambles for first downs factor into QB ratings? By the way this field sucks.

That missed field goal shouldn't have even took place if he threw a semi accurate pass to Theo. And you are correct, though Golic Jr is having a sh*t night also.

Rees can't run and Hendrix wants to channel his inner Wild Thing on every pass and throw the high cheddar
