ND Fans: Where doe Michigan rank among your biggest rivals "list"

Me and my friends were having the discussion of where the ND game ranks for us. I said #2 behind ohio, but a majority of them kept saying the state rivalry is more important.

I don't buy that because look at who the two schools are. That's all you have to say when you bring up Michigan-ND. #1 and #2 programs in college football history.

My question is where does Michigan rank on your biggest rivalries list?

I'm not from the area, so I don't like the ND-UM rivalry as much as SC. I don't hate UM, I hate SC.

As far as true rivalries, USC is #1. I respect and hate USC, while I have no respect, but immense hate for michigan.

Very commonly found #2 behind USC, but next year I'm not sure, I'm still mighty pissed on how we've lost the past three years ESPECIALLY this year.

This year was really bad because we should have won easily since we were up by 3 scores in the 4th. But the 2009 edition with the cheating refs was just as bad.

The last three years it's been UM due to the nature of the games. it was SC before that.
I have had more positive encounters with SC fans than UM fans. UM fans think that God created their program on the 9th day, most of that has to do that most people from Michigan think that God created their state on the 8th day. If you have never had the pleasure of someone from Michigan explain to you why their state is the most beautiful hands down, has the best fishing, best hunting, most lake shoreline and yada yada yada. If you feel that way about your state, then you obviously will feel the same way about that states football program, it’s nauseating.

He wants you to confirm that the Michigan game is #1 or #2 in importance to us, so all those scUM fans who put the State rivalry ahead of ND can feel superior that they're more important to us than we are to them.

I totaly agree with this. scUM is my #1 because of the likes of Tate Forcier and Denard Robinson.

I hate michigan more than I hate southern cal but I think if I could beat one of the two it would probably be $C. Mostly because I've never really seen ND beat SC other than last year because I'm a relatively new fan. So an SC victory fOr me would be more noteworthy. But I hate Michigan so muchhh

#3 for me. I put Michigan State as my #2 most hated opponent, right behind SC. I've always more or less respected the Michigan program...I always want to pound the crap out of them, but I don't loathe them the way that I do Sparty.
