I don't think it is a betting line, per se. On an Indiana HS football forum, someone posted a link that attributed that spread to the Sagarin ratings.

Cathedral: 101.62
Washington: 84.64
Difference: 16.98

I think that's where the spread of 17 points came from.

how is john playing this year? anybody close to the team or familiar have any insight...he's been the most quiet commit of ours all year...not sure if that's a good or bad thing, but atleast he's playing on a really good team with a lot of good players so it's more likely to blend in.

It's usually not a good thing when you never hear anything about a recruit. Has he picked up any major offers besides ND?
