No inside scoop about a decision, but Quick is one of the best players to come out of KY - ever. His high school team, Trinity, finished undefeated and ranked #1 in the US in most of the polls. And they played a national schedule, usually pummeling other powerhouse teams. I have seen him do amazing things, unfortunately against my Alma Mata too many times. Kentucky seldom gets top ranked players, and occasionally get an ESPN Top 100 watch list guy. But this year they got 4, an 3 of them play for Trinity.
UofL is very hard after him and many think he ends up there, but he is being recruited coast to coast. I hope he is the type to leave town, widen his horizons. He is a great kid off the field too. A funny story from the halls of Trinity. A passing student yells to him, "James, where are you going to college?" Hoping to hear him say "UofL", James quietly replies, "anywhere I want too". Not in an arrogant way, just a confident way.
I've never personally seen another high school player as good as jams Quick, hopefully we are on him hard. His teammates Jason Hatcher is another good one to keep an eye on too.
