We are projected #25 in BCS, We are #23 in the CBS Poll.

They changed it from earlier. It was #23

It is too bad Wake couldn't hold on to that came. They were doing fine, then Clemson flipped the switch.

That missed FG really killed them. Totally took the wind out of their sails and turned the momentum completely around. When they missed that FG Clemson knew they could still win. If it had gone through I think Clemson was basically defeated. Really seemed energized after.

Keep on keepin' on, Irish! I'm not sure about FSU yet. The 'Noles have played 5 teams with 3 or fewer wins (Louisiana-Monroe3, Charleston Southern0, Duke3 BC3and Maryland2). Not to mention that they have not beaten a team in the top #25 or with a win. percentage over .500. Whatever, let's just finish the season strong and we'll see where we end up.

Everyone except BC and Maryland has a great shot at going to a bowl. USC, MSU and Stanford will all almost certainly be ranked come season's end; Michigan has a chance to end in the Top 25, but will have to win at least one of their two difficult remaining games.

It's not an overly strong schedule, with a host of mediocre opponents (five 5-win teams, plus Navy at 4-6). Even with a demolition of BC and a win over Stanford, I can't see the Irish being considered for a BCS bowl even if they do reach that magical No. 14 ranking.

Anyway, let's handle BC first and set up that ranked matchup with Luck & Co.

Not sure if this was mentioned, but in the Sagarin Pure Points computer rankings, which doesn't count to discourage running up the score but has proven to be a better predictor of on-the-field results, it looks like ND is ranked #11.

EDIT: We're basically even in this ranking with Texas A&M, FWIW.

Hate to disagree, but Auburn's schedule is brutal. They didn't play Texas this year, but those four losses are to the following........

LSU
Clemson
Arkansas
Georgia

All top 15 teams

Now granted the closest they got in those games was a 14 point loss to Clemson, but they do play in the SEC and they did beat South Carolina on the Road.

I can't get too upset since we only have one victory over top 25 teams vs. two losses. Also you can't forget what looks like now a horrible loss to South Florida at home.

There two losses are to South Carolina and Boise State. Not embarrassing losses, and look around college football this year. After you get by the top 5 or 6 it gets really muddled. I would put Georgia up against anyone in the Big Ten and give them a good shot to come out on top, the Big Twelve minus Ok. and Ok. State, The Pac-12 minus Oregon and maybe Stanford, and anyone in the Big East and Acc expect for Clemson.

lol no. They've been beaten by the only decent team in the east and are about to back into the SEC championship game because of the most lucky schedule in the country. Think of all the good west teams... now look at the ones Georgia got to play... Ole Miss, Mississippi St., and Auburn. Their crowning achievement so far this year is beating Auburn (who has been beaten up by every decent team they've faced). If they have Florida or Tennessee's schedule this year they suck, Richt is fired, and we most likely get KM. Oh well.

If everyone outside of LSU, Bama, and Arkansas is extremely average then apparently everyone else in the college football world stepped up their game big time over night.
