Lions are a bunch of punks. Nick Fairy and Suh are so dirty. Stafford sucks. Back to reality Detroit.

DJ Moore shouldn't have retaliated and will be fined, as he should be. However, I will be upset if Stafford doesn't receive some form of punishment for what he did.

I never really hated Detroit before today. I disliked them as much as the Vikings...but now I'm beginning to develop quite a resentment for the Lions.

Me too, it's awesome. Going back to the NFC "Norris" days where guys are trying to kill each other.

Heh? What happened?

Lots of cheap shots by the Lions while down 31. Stafford threw a pick and while getting block, grabbed DJ Moore's facemask and back of his helmet and pulled him down. Moore got up and hit Stafford after the play and was ejected.

Well I don't like the fact that cheap shots were thrown, but as a coach, you prefer an angry reaction when down 31 rather than a depressed self-loathing one.

What the hell is wrong with you guys? This is a franchise that used to lose almost every game, and still retained many of their fans. I've been a fan since I was a little kid (Barry Sanders era). Yeah, I understand it can be construed as dirty play, but for a team emerging from the funk they've been in, they need a nasty attitude to return them to respectability. Obviously, they didn't play well today, and I can't see why they alienated so many of you when they were playing well earlier in the season. You all need to ease on up. The Lions are a good albeit young team, and are rapidly rising to respectability. You don't go from 0-16 to Packers/Steelers level in a few years. If anything, I'd think you'd empathize with a team that's been pretty horrible and irrelevant and is finally on an upward trend.

The Lions play today cannot "be construed as dirty." It was flat out dirty.

Stafford got frustrated and could have seriously injured Moore, who was throwing a legal and effective block. Can't get off a block? Yank someone down by the neck.

And the late hit on Cutler was a shoulder drill job. Could have knocked him out for the game.

The OP has it right...the Lions were dominated on the field and they responded by trying to hurt people.

The common denominator of most posters in this thread is that we're Bears fans.

Hence, I will not be cutting the Lions any slack. Especially after that display today.

Yea the lions got exposed. Stafford can't sling it around like Rodgers. But I like the fight they showed. I would rather my team get physical than curl up and take a beating.

Not to mention Suh ripping off Cutler's helmet on one play as well as pushing him down well after the ball was released on the play that was ruled a fumble after booth review. Often, there's a fine line between nasty and dirty play. Today, however, the Lions were way beyond that line. They were getting their asses kicked and lost their heads.

Exactly. I won't shed a tear for the Lions after they were strutting and flexing after every play like a late 80's Miami team during the Monday Night game awhile back.

The Lions needed a reality check, and got one today. I love that the Bears weren't impressed with the wannabe-toughguy routine , and decided to take them down a few pegs.

Everyone crushing the Lions here are fans of other teams in the division (mostly Bears fans). Its to be expected. Take it as a compliment that you're finally worth hating again, rather than being pitied.

I don't care one way or the other about the Lions, but playing with a chip on their shoulder is going to be a part of their new identity, obviously. If you're a fan of another team you shouldn't like it. Not sure why the Lions or their fans should care.

I will say, though, that Stafford got what he had coming to him from Moore. I actually thought Moore's reaction was awesome. I hope all of his teammates chip in to pay whatever fine he gets.

Fairley's hit was filthy. It was the only thing I saw. Didn't watch much of the game.

The fact is the Lions are finally winning some games and they don't know how to act. They hoot and holler and strut around when they are winning. They try to be bullies and intimidate people. All of a sudden they got punched in the nose and it started leaking and they couldn't handle it. The Bears aren't afraid of those bums. Welcome back to Earth Lions and your schedule doesn't get any easier after this. 8-8 or 9-7 is what they'll end up.

Great Win Bears!!!!! Beat the Chargers!!

I respect grittiness. I respect playing with a chip on your shoulder. No problem with that.

There were 3-4 dangerous plays today...mostly involving the head and neck. That's not gritty or tough. That's acting like a child.

The Lions weren't "dominated" on the field. They have no running game with Best out. Stafford threw it 64 times ! 4 INTs with 2 pick 6s and a punt to Hester? HOW HARD IS IT TO LEARN TO NOT PUNT TO HIM.. Infuriating. The Bears had 230 yards of offense btw.

The Lions didn't really get exposed, I mean when a team has no run game its a lot easier to defend the pass.

The Bears offense looked mediocre to be sure. They were also just caretakers because the defense and special teams had the game totally in hand.

You only need 230 yards of total offense when Matthew Stafford is feeling as "generous" as he was today.

I will say, though, when that fracas with Stafford and DJ started, the first person I looked for was Suh to see how quickly he'd get over to the pile to lay on a few cheap shots. Surprisingly, he stayed out, as far as I know.

I guess you guys would have cried murder back in the 70s and 80s. Those guys played harder and dirtier than anything Suh may or may not have done. Suh has been dumped on for being an aggressive player, I don't think he is dirty at all.

This was an incredibly satisfying victory. The media has been on their **** all year and they were getting way too cocky. Wasn't long ago their fans were wearing bags over their heads, but they get off to a modestly good start this year and they acted like they were on top of the world.

I meant exactly what youre saying. We don't have a run game right now, so teams aren't respecting it. We are constantly in passing downs with 2nd and 3rd and long and Chicago schemed to that. Maybe exposed was the wrong word.

But even with a good run game, it is hard to stay balanced falling behind as much as we did.
