Love it. Back to reality Kittens, hope you enjoyed your 15 minutes.
I never really hated Detroit before today. I disliked them as much as the Vikings...but now I'm beginning to develop quite a resentment for the Lions.
Heh? What happened?

What the hell is wrong with you guys? This is a franchise that used to lose almost every game, and still retained many of their fans. I've been a fan since I was a little kid (Barry Sanders era). Yeah, I understand it can be construed as dirty play, but for a team emerging from the funk they've been in, they need a nasty attitude to return them to respectability. Obviously, they didn't play well today, and I can't see why they alienated so many of you when they were playing well earlier in the season. You all need to ease on up. The Lions are a good albeit young team, and are rapidly rising to respectability. You don't go from 0-16 to Packers/Steelers level in a few years. If anything, I'd think you'd empathize with a team that's been pretty horrible and irrelevant and is finally on an upward trend.
The Lions play today cannot "be construed as dirty." It was flat out dirty.
Stafford got frustrated and could have seriously injured Moore, who was throwing a legal and effective block. Can't get off a block? Yank someone down by the neck.
And the late hit on Cutler was a shoulder drill job. Could have knocked him out for the game.
The OP has it right...the Lions were dominated on the field and they responded by trying to hurt people.
The common denominator of most posters in this thread is that we're Bears fans.
Hence, I will not be cutting the Lions any slack. Especially after that display today.

Everyone crushing the Lions here are fans of other teams in the division (mostly Bears fans). Its to be expected. Take it as a compliment that you're finally worth hating again, rather than being pitied.
I don't care one way or the other about the Lions, but playing with a chip on their shoulder is going to be a part of their new identity, obviously. If you're a fan of another team you shouldn't like it. Not sure why the Lions or their fans should care.
I will say, though, that Stafford got what he had coming to him from Moore. I actually thought Moore's reaction was awesome. I hope all of his teammates chip in to pay whatever fine he gets.
Fairley's hit was filthy. It was the only thing I saw. Didn't watch much of the game.

Yea the lions got exposed. Stafford can't sling it around like Rodgers. But I like the fight they showed. I would rather my team get physical than curl up and take a beating.
The Lions weren't "dominated" on the field. They have no running game with Best out. Stafford threw it 64 times ! 4 INTs with 2 pick 6s and a punt to Hester? HOW HARD IS IT TO LEARN TO NOT PUNT TO HIM.. Infuriating. The Bears had 230 yards of offense btw.
The Lions didn't really get exposed, I mean when a team has no run game its a lot easier to defend the pass.
