The kid has a good poker face but... He is a fierce competitor and the B-Ball option may be the clencher . Enter Mike Brey. A hiccup in all this is the Big East debacle.... We need this kid plain and simple.

Anyone know if Marshall is "married" to Georgia??

I've posted earlier in this thread as to where she thinks nelson will go, but to be honest, he keeps quiet even to her (they are pretty good friends.) He was texting her when he was at ND and was "freaking out" when the student section was chanting his name, loved it. but like i said earlier, probably some 10-15 pages ago, USC has always been his "dream school," and he got really excited when they offered. people keep saying that its probably between ND and Florida, but I really see USC unfortunately being a possibility.

Where does everyone get the idea that he is coming to ND? If he goes out of state it is USC, otherwise it is FSU/UF battle. All this kid every does is root for USC and UF to win.

Sampson has talked with people around the program and the feeling is he will end up at Notre Dame or Florida kind of like been whats reporting. Seems like Charlie Weis has taken over Nelsons recruitment and Florida is going all in. Notre Dame has some work to do here but it seems like the education will play into Notre Dames factors just depends if Nelson wants to leave the state. We got work to do but for some of you bashing BK recruiting earlier i saw today take this.

I can imagine that it's hard for Charlie to do negative recruiting against Notre Dame. I like our chances.

Fingers crossed bro!

Alford just got to keep doing what he does and Kelly needs to make a 4:00 am trip down to his house!

I Imagine it's not as hard you think.

Perhaps... I just think he has great love for ND, like all of us. Being in his shoes I think it would be hard for me to do it. You can still recruit very well without it anyways. Florida has a lot of things going for them...

Said his trip to Florida went well. Him and Schyler aren't a package deal. Per rivals

there is also some chatter that Charlie might not be back at Florida next season so we will see.

Charlie did pretty well selling Floyd and Walker on ND when ND was in the dumps. I think we might get him but I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

And Charlie's an offensive genius. Can't believe he might not be back.

man o man give the man some time. I always liked Charlie.

He's an a hole. He probably doesn't get along with any of the other coaches. Generally, you must get along with the whole coaching staff. I'm willing to guess he doesn't.

I don't think so. He didn't get pushed out in KC, he decided to leave and go back to the college game.

It's not so far-fetched. Do you recall what Weis was able to do for our offense in his first season at ND? I'd imagine he expected similar success at UF, and since that hasn't been forthcoming, he may be longing for the familiarity of the NFL again.

Rumor had it that he and Haley couldn't get along at the end of year. So while he may have went on his own, I think they weren't on the same page.

That's just what I have heard.

That's just what I have heard.

Jason Whitlock (who I like) did a piece on this back in December/January. He ripped on Haley pretty bad, and shockingly, didn't too bad on Weis. Whitlock did a story ripping Haley again a few weeks ago too.

I like Weis (or at least, I want to like Weis) but his ego is just massive. I was kind of excited to hear about him going to Florida, particularly with his son being there. As somebody that wants to see Weis do well, I thought this was a good place for him to be. As an objective fan of football, I thought it was a great hire by Muschamp-- he's a defensive coach and is bringing in somebody that knows how to run an offensive system. Plus, as a 1st time head coach, he's bringing in somebody with head coaching experience, albeit somebody who didn't have a lot of success as a head coach, but a HC nonetheless. And Weis is a big name and can obviously get results recruiting and coaching up QB's and WR's. I did wonder, though, about how Weis would handle working under: 1) anybody 2) a guy that's only been a defensive coordinator before 3) a guy that was on a staff that just went 5-7 the year before 4) somebody that isn't Bill Parcells or a Parcells disciple. This is Chuck's first experiment working under a non-Parcellsian since his high school gig.

I wonder how true any of these rumors swirling are. It's interesting stuff, for sure.

Whatever the case may be, I hope Nelson is all Irish!!

Watch him go to USC and break all of our hearts.

Chris Nee who is the only reporter that Nelson talks too says its a ND Florida battle. USC was favored early on cause he was close to the kiffins but that has all cooled. He might end up at USC but it doesnt look that way at all right now.
