Okay, slightly random question. How do you pronounce Kiel? Is it like "kyle" or "keel"? The reason I ask is b/c the usher at the game on Saturday kept saying "keel" and I wasn't sure if I had it wrong or if he did.

Thanks

Thanks! The usher was probably about 40 years old, and was quite into the game. My brother and I talked to him a lot during the game about recruits and just football in general. It was a pleasant experience, granted we were literally across the aisle from the Frosh student section.

**EDIT** this is not meant to sound negative but rather as a positive. It was a very lively experience, and we stood for about 99% of the game cheering, and I lost my voice - just got it back today. No bad experience with ushers from me, but I know others have had run-ins with ushers in other sections of the stadium (i.e. sit down, being too loud, etc). I'm 27 so I get amped up during football games

i'd love to have gunnar at ND... i really feel like Golson is my boy.... Option golson, and Marshall really could be the next Tony Rice NC 2012....

Gunnar hitting open recievers winning games would be nice.. he's got family that played at ND also.

Funny thing is put in hendrix, and they know it's a run/option... kinda defeats throwing them off....

like on the Dayne fumble that was a TE pass.. If hendrix is a passer and runner why!!!! in the hell do we take him out for Dayne to pass it....

Expect DaVaris.....Daniel has been "hurt" in some way his entire career. I don't expect him to turn it on after three years of scout team.

Not to nitpick, but Smith was a true freshman last year, and most true freshman do not see the field unless it is out of need or they are REALLY good. Even this year would be considered his "redshirt" freshman year at most programs. He hasnt spent 3 years on scout team, and it is entirely to early in his career to indicate what kind of contribution he will be making. I do agree Davaris seems to have more upside and is a freak athlete, and we need to get him on the field, but you can't write a kid off with 3 years of eligiblity left.

Domer2 was confusing Smith with "Neon" Deion Walker.

I have a secret surprise in store for everyone if.. neh... WHEN Gunner commits.

I was never a full-fledged member of the "don't sign Gunner, we've got too many needs at other positions" category...but I flirted with them. After thinking about it a few days, I think I'm firmly entrenched in the "please, Lord, I hope we sign him" category on this guy. It's painfully evident that Rees nor Crist are long term answers at QB and it's also quite evident (although members on this board will disagree because of a SPRING GAME) that Hendrix and Golson are total unknowns. So if it's all a crap-shoot anyway, then why not go with the guy virtually everybody believes is the best QB in the country? Come on down, Gunner!!
