If so, your sports weekend was as rough as mine.... Where the hell do the Colts go from here?

Luck sweepstakes, my friend. You all are in the lead, right? Or is it KC?

They are 3-3.

They Dolphins managed to blow it against Denver and are still winless too. St. Louis still remains winless as well.

This weekend sucked for sure. Notre Dame then the Colts. This is going to be a very long year in Indy for sure.

Well the Rams have Bradford, so I guess the Dolphins are the main threat right now if you are a Colts fan. Saw something the other night about how the Dolphins have had the most pathetic QB carousel out of all NFL teams.

Even if Manning comes back healthy and ready to go next year, I can't help but think that the Colts have to think for the future.

Honestly, I watched the Dolphins game against the Pats at the beginning of the season and QB was not the problem there.

Yep. I'm torn on what to do in the draft though. They're going to need a QB to replace Manning in the next few years but that's far from the only need this team has. The defense is horrible. Freeney and Mathis aren't getting younger. Collie could possibly die anytime he touches the ball. Clark is old. It's not looking promising for the future even if Manning comes back healthy and they draft Luck. I kinda feel they should trade the pick and load up on younger players, mostly on defense. Glad it's not up to me to decide the future of this team though...it's a mess.

I kind of don't want the #1 pick. Don't get me wrong, I want Luck, but I know Polian will pull some stupid **** and not draft him anyways. He would prob trade it away for two first round picks and draft some incapable O-lineman and a "good character" WR. By finishing runner up in the "Suck for Luck" sweepstakes we can be in line to pick the Honey Badger.

Gotta sell out to get Andrew Luck.

We have 18 million in cap space and another 70 Million in easily cuttable players to chop off the books next year.

You draft luck and hit free agency to fill in the rest of the roster. Follow the blueprint of the 2001 Pats.

Sign 8-12 Mid level free agents.

No kidding...They'll end up with 2 centers and Donald Brown again...Or they'll trade the pick for an Arkansas tackle.

Oh yea, Polian would probably pass on Luck.. I don't know, if the Rams get #1 they will trade it for picks maybe even a few more pieces.. If the Colts end up with the #2 pick its going to be awful. Because they need a wr, but there aren't any that should go that high.. its a mess

I know it is inevitable that the Colts will draft Luck first. But I honestly do not think that will be the best choice.

If they decide to keep Manning, they should draft maybe another offensive play maker. With the position they are in they could get Richardson (if he declares), Blackmon, or LaMichael James. Imagine someone that explosive with Peyton. Then later in the draft pickup a QB that can really be taught to take Peytons place in the future. Not sure how high these guys are projected but someone like Weeden or even Moore from Boise St.

Granted the Colts always need help on the defensive side but with how they are set up they will always give up some points. They are built lean, fast, and to play with a lead.

I know they are going to pick Luck. But it is just fun to toy with the idea of keeping Peyton and picking up another dynamic offensive player.
