Here is a little write up by Arash Markazi from ESPN Los Angeles. As if we aren't already amped for the game....
"I'm not a betting man but when I first saw the line for the USC-Notre Dame game (Irish by 8.5 points) I nearly jumped in my car and drove to Las Vegas. (Yes, I know you can place bets online these days but that wouldn't be nearly as dramatic.)
There is no way Notre Dame is beating USC by more than a touchdown. In fact, Notre Dame will lose its fifth straight game to USC in South Bend, Ind. Yes, I know Notre Dame broke USC's 8-game winning streak against the Irish last season after Ronald Johnson dropped a sure touchdown but the Trojans were the better team then and they are again this year.
Anytime Notre Dame wins a few games in a row, the country gets overly excited about the Irish. Let's forget that they started the season 0-2 and that their defense isn't that good, let's just focus on what they did against Air Force and Purdue and beating Pittsburgh 15-12. There's no hotter team in America than a Notre Dame team on a five-game winning streak.
Sorry, I'm not buying it. I don't think Notre Dame will be able to get pressure on Matt Barkley without blitzing and I don't think Notre Dame's secondary is going to be able to match up with Robert Woods and Marqise Lee. It'll be a shootout but USC will win. It's just too bad I won't be able to watch the game in Vegas."
