It is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, ND could be rolling out in all pink jerseys....
Yes, you are very biased against Oregon! I don't think we need to go through all of the big wins they have accumulated over the past 5 to 10 years, do we?
I've never claimed not to be biased against Oregon. It's not so much the school, as their fans. You know how teenagers start to get a little taste of independence and responsibility, and they suddenly seem to think that they know all there is to know about the world? Well, Oregon fans are like teenagers, in College Football: they've had some success, and they now think that they know everything about how college football works.
But I'd be interested to hear what you think are "big" wins for Oregon, in the past 5 to 10 years, that came against someone outside of their conference......
I think it is pretty definite that the jerseys will be green.
With pink letters as JeremyND07 pointed out? I could see that as "Not even Oregon is doing this"
What is the BC rumor?

19-1 in league play under Chip Kelly.
Yeah, one was Tony Rice. The last QB we had that led us to a National Championship. Notre Dame just picked the right one to let in because he was special and Lou knew it, so he fought to get the kid in.
But ND does not need to do anything as drastic and chintzy as gold, black or pink jerseys. That isn't Notre Dame. ND is about class and dignity, not creating a "buzz" by wearing ugly jerseys. Notre Dame needs to find the appropriate balance between keeping up with the times and staying true to its legacy and what it stands for.
No reason to get on the high horse. I was joking when I posted the pink jersey comment
I am against being a slave to tradition when it puts you in a competitive disadvantage, which is why I support installing field turf and a jumbotron. I also agree that part of Notre Dame's tradition is being a trend setter and daring to do things a bit differently, which is why the overreaction to sensible change among a certain segment of the fan base is a bit misguided. But I also think we need to really think about how outrageous we want to be with changes to the jerseys and things like that. Oregon NEEDED to do that, because they had no other identity as a program. That isn't true of Notre Dame. I'm not against making some fun changes on occasion, like the jerseys we wore against Michigan, or wearing a variation of the green once a year. That is cool. If recruits like it, even better. I won't be the least bit surprised if we see this jersey in it's home rendition unveiled this weekend.
^Completely agree. I will admit that I enjoy creating a buzz. I like when you go against the grain. It's one game. Have some fun, even if it's with tacky uniforms. Chintzy uniforms for a single game won't change what ND represents to me personally. I may like the uni's, I may hate them. Regardless, I'll have fun watching the game and seeing something different.
Sorry, man. My post was not about your idea. And truthfully, I never saw your post. I didn't see where the pink idea came from, I just saw it mentioned and threw it into my post, which was more in response to this entire thread, generally, not any specific comment or idea.
The quiet, "sit down in your seats or I'll have you kicked out" crowd will scoff at the idea, imo.
I'm still trying to figure out where this sentiment comes from. I've been to a handful of games in South Bend over the last 5 or 6 years, and never once have run into someone upset at people standing and cheering.

I don't think this is legit, but somebody took some time to show us what a Green throwback would look like....
You've been lucky not to have them in your section then. They do exist.
