These guys are absolutely lighting it up. I don't remember any freshman playing quite the role these two have.

Sammy Watkins broke a C.J. Spiller record tonight and is top 5 wide receiver.

DeAnthony Thomas is just the perfect playmaker type for this Oregon offense. He is so much better off having gone there than USC.

Oregon has so many fast skill players. That's what I'm hoping our offense (WR especially) looks like in a year or two.

Btw, Manti Teo is better than #7 for ASU and it isn't close.

I agree with this. Burfict is super athletic though.

I think Manti plays with more speed. I shouldn't have said 'it isn't even close' but Manti makes more plays. Plus he plays smart (i.e., not getting personal fouls).

sorry, I got a little confused. Sad part is I saw the interview and him yelling at the fan.

IMO, Sammy Watkins is a top 5 wide receiver. I think he is at Michael Floyd's level right now and he blows away Robert Woods. He has some of the greatest hands in the country and he is a burner. I canr believe he is only a freshman.

Apples and oranges IMO. Your not gonna have Floyd take a screen pass 80 yards for a touchdown against a good team and your not gonna have Sammy Watkins jump over 3 defenders and catch a touchdown. Like I said, JMO, but they are two very different WRs. Equally as good as what they do though. With him and Bellamy, Clemson is going to be scary the next few years.

Did you see Watkins turn on the jets when he hit the hole on that kick return. The only thing I can is WOW.

I agree, I wasn't knocking Watkins, I was just saying its hard to compare the two even though they play the same position. Watkins is an absolute beast. Future #1 overall pick?

These guys are beasts for sure.

Adrian Peterson was an animal as a freshman too

Burfict has more physical ability, Te'o is far more disciplined and not a total moron on the football field.

Don't care, he is still a freshmen. How about Colt McCoy then? Happy now? Lattimore? The list goes on.

There is a huge difference between a freshman and a redshirt freshman. Huge.

For sure

Wide receivers rarely go #1 overall.

Only Irving Fryar and Keyshawn Johnson have went #1 overall as a wide out. Those two were good players but couldn't live up to the #1 hype.

One of Watkins TDs was a jump ball in the back corner of the endzone last night, wasn't it? He's only going to get better at jump ball situations.

Both were jump ball receptions.

Watkins is miles ahead of where Michael Floyd was as a freshman. Miles ahead. That being said, he is on a better team with a more diverse offense.
