ND Pay Sites

I'm a long-time member on one of the ND sites and I'm considering switching to a different site. As far as I know, II, 247, and ISD are the three major ones.

I follow along here but almost never post. I'd like some board feedback pros and cons as it relates to staff football knowledge (x's and o's), recruiting scoops, member discussion on the boards, etc.

Any input is appreciated.

A few of the sites (24/7 I know for a fact) will give you a free trial period. It's a good way to get a feel for the info they have available and the attitude of the posting community.

I'm a 24/7 man myself. I love Sapp and Lou, but the $107 a year is pretty steep.

247 - Good information. Steve Wiltfong is good. Jason Sapp is very quick to answer people's questions. The Message Board is atrocious

Rivals - Pretty straightforward guys. Good amount of information. Message board is entertaining.

ISD - Pretty quick to get the scoop. Good analysts. Don't have an opinion about the message board.

I don't know anything about Scout

That doesn't even begin to describe it.

Kidding aside I agree with TT's assessment of the sites. Rivals still has the best message board (excluding the trolls), ISD breaks a lot of news before the other guys get it, Wiltfong and Sapp are the bomb at 247. Also have never seen IrishEyes, though they seem to be picking up their game.

ISD's message board is not good. I'm actually embarrassed that a lot of those people pay money to post there. I've only posted a handful of times because I don't want to get sucked into the "discussion" taking place.

Other than that, I do like the premium info Mike Frank and Coach D provide.

I think Sapp does a great job at least what I can tell from twitter and if I ever switch subscriptions or feel the need to pay for another I'd go with him.

I enjoy the ISD message board more than most here I guess. Other than one true idiot, the board is good IMO, and there are some very knowledgable posters. Ignore the few idiots and you'll learn a ton on that site.

CoachD from ISD is a huge draw for me b/c his info (technically speaking) is insanely better than anyone else's I've seen. I mean, the dude knows his football and his recruiting. Even when I disagree with him (and I have through email), I still see where he is coming from. I finally got to speak with him in person at the USF game and the dude is genuine and can literally talk football for hours. I joined ISD basically for his takes and the way Mike Frank runs his business.

I enjoy IrishIllustrated the 2nd most, but am no longer a member there. Boards were good but there are more trolls there, and I don't join premium sites to hear trolls talk. Also enjoy their podcasts.

24/7 has some great info. A close friend of mine is a member there, but as TT said, I don't like the message board. Sapp is awesome; Wiltfong is among the best in the business, but their podcasts absolutely blow (older guys that do nothing but complain the second ND does something remotely wrong; Tony Roberts is atrocious on there. And yet I still tune in LOL).

Scout - abandoned them when Miek Frank left. Haven't heard great things but I wouldn't know...

I love ISD for many of the reasons discused by others.

I am also a member of 24/7, and I like the site. I'm not a fan of their podcasts however.
