I'm super high on this kid. He flies all over the field and arrives at the football angry.

Any idea where he stands with his recruitment? I'm kind of surprised we haven't extended an offer yet...

He has legit ND interest.

Since he's only a junior, we might be waiting on test scores.

Ok cool. Hopefully he puts the work in on those tests. Would love to have him.

As always, thanks for the info.

This kid finished his season with 179 tackles and was teammates with S. Day. I really hope ND puts an offer out there for him. Has anyone heard anything?

Why on earth hasn't he gotten an offer? We need to lock down in state talent when it's there.

Staff thinks he's too fast. Would make our DBs feel bad. Don't want the locker room divided.

I would hate to see a top talent from Indiana go to O$U.

Rod Smith (Jaylen's older brother) Mike Conley, Greg Oden, DeShaun Thomas. The last three names are basketball players, but Ohio State has a decent pull in Indiana, ESPECIALLY in football, given the lackluster nature of the in-state programs, minus our Irish. Furthermore...and without going into a diatribe on academics...Ohio State is much less "stringent" to put it mildly.

Getting his teammate, Sheldon Day, should help us immensely. Warren is a very close-knit program and probably, outside of Cathedral, the top football program in Indiana, in terms of producing D-1 talent. Tapping into that pipeline this last recruiting cycle is beyond huge. Sheldon feeding positive vibes south to Warren Twp should be huge for us, not only with Kimbrough, but in future recruiting situations, as well.

The only sticking point could be academics. Warren is not exactly an academic powerhouse. While Sheldon Day did make it through ND's admissions, most Hoosiers who follow football/recruiting will recall the tale of former Warrior Jerimy Finch, the heralded Florida recruit who basically was kept eligible by the HC at the time and his wife, and was later found to barely be able to read at a functioning high school level. He bounced from UF, to IU, and last I heard was playing at NAIA Marian College in Indianapolis.

Bottom line: Sheldon could really help us, here...but I wouldn't be shocked if academics were an issue.
