I was a 17 year old high senior when I went to my first and only game. ND is a magical place and that stadium, filled to capacity awaiting the opening kickoff is truly one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.

I live 30 minutes from Berry College and it may be next in line behind Notre Dame-its as beautiful only smaller of course. The other Big School places I've been is Mich/Ala/Auburn/Ga/Ga Tech/Columbus-really a dump/Cinn/Kentucky/Louisville/Pitt/Mich State/Minn/Wis/Indiana/Miami-Ohio/Miss State/Syracuse/West Va/Va Tech/Wash State/Wash. In my humble opinion there is not one that holds anything close to South Bend. Miss State/Va Tech may be the closest to Notre Dame just because they are small and comfortable. Some of the other places are real dumps. I wouldnt send my worst enemy to East Lansing or Columbus unless they were given a scholarship-real bad look. University of Washington has a great setting for its stadium and the canals/lakes around it but like all these other metro campus sites the school looks like a big city.

He was being sarcastic.

Cornell is the prettiest school I've been to.

OSU is a dump but hopefully you did not mean the actual city of Columbus is. You are way off if that is the case.

depends on which part of Columbus you are talking about. OSU isn't a horrible campus if you can get over the constant OH IO cheers.

I grew up in South Bend. Wandered around campus as a kid, selling programs etc. As a kid, I had this crazy idea that every college campus looked like Notre Dame because, well, it was the only campus I had seen. Then one day I visited Purdue ... enough said.
