I'd love to know the average 30y ROI for a ND business degree. Could easily be 2-3 times the average ND degree.

Wow, did not know CAL was the best state U in the nation.

Cal being so high on that list probably has something to do with the fact that everything is so expensive in California. If you graduate from Cal, you tend to get a job in the state of California. And a person working as a doctor in California gets paid more than a doctor in Maine (or any other state for that matter). Because everything costs more, most jobs get paid more to even things out.

Cal and UVa have (as long as I've been alive) been the two best public schools in the nation.

Yes, but you are still paying for the education. If your reasoning holds true, should an education in Maine cost less then? There are far more cities that are a higher cost of living than say San Francisco. I don't see NYU anywhere near the top of that list.

A Recruiting Trip to Notre Dame | High School Cover 2 Sports - seattlepi.com

This article doesn't give the details that I had hoped, but it is interesting and a good read on a slow day.

The staff does focus a lot on academics and ROI.

Notre Dame coaches explained that they were looking for players who had great character, were good students and citizens and who were looking for a first-rate education. Notre Dame, it was pointed out, graduated over 98% of its players. This was a focus for them. A Notre Dame scholarship, they were told, is worth $60,000 a year. At the end, Head Coach Brian Kelly appeared and gave a passionate speech about his intentions to return Notre Dame to its once lofty level.

No love for DeVry.

I guess my school is a whole lot of no good.

have to think Harvard would have been #1 by a mile if Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) and Bill Gates (Microsoft) hadnt dropped out before they graduated (their salaries/net worth can't be included in the numbers)

.................

It uses medians.... so no, it would actually have no noticeable effect.
