I never knew what it was like to be recruited like that (not including the military. lol) but I imagine it to be a bit tough saying no to OV's when you don't pay for them.

I would take all 5. No doubt.

I agree...but I'd probably take them before committing. Seems like the process has reversed itself with some kids. Court me, love me, but I'm lookin' to hook up.

I was a legacy to ND and 100% sure I was going to school there while I was still in elementary school and long before I ever picked up a lacrosse stick. I still took visits to over a half dozen schools to check them out, have fun and make sure I was making the right choice.

I understand kids who take visits and those that don't. It only worries me if they say "I'm not taking any visits" and then decide later that they're going to. If they say from the beginning that they are taking OVs I see absolutely nothing to make a fuss about.

Comments from Baratti on Darby from the ISD freebie:

“He’s cool,” Baratti said of the Maryland cornerback. “He’s a great guy. He’s a good friend and we’ll stay good friends. I don’t know why people were getting all excited about him going to Florida. He’s totally committed to Notre Dame and we’re looking forward to being teammates.”

Did a brief interview with 24/7.

Maryland, Florida, and Auburn are still after him hard.

Asked if he was still committed to ND he said, "Yeah, as of right now."

Dog fight until signing day.

PLEASE NOTE: The interview was conducted by a guy who covers Maryland so he is obviously going to be biased in his writing.

Ugh... I hate recruiting, but it is a serious addiction.

He was committed to ND before the MSU game and he apparently loved his visit so although his comment sounds not so certain I wouldn't put too much stock in them.

I sit right behind the section where all the recruits sit. Me and my friends were chanting his name during the MSU game, I think he enjoyed it. I guess we'll need to chant alot of names during the USC game...

You need to make them come up for pushups.

That's what we did during the '05 Game. Had to squat a 300 lb DT that never committed.

My advice: Ten game winning streak, SMASH bowl opponent. Crisis averted, world is right again.

Bob Wieneke from Irish Sports Report said that Darby would be the recruit he picks to do any flip-flopping out of any of our current verbally committed recruits today on Weekday Sports Beat.

He also said that there is a QB commit for North Carolina that is supposedly gaining some traction for ND. Patton Robinette who was invited to the Elite 11 camp. ESPN has Robinette's traits as Delivery, Reads, and Athleticism.

Take it for what its worth.

Patton Robinette looks pretty good, i dont see a rct thread for him to post in. I enjoyed his highlight reel more then Kiel. 1800 yards passing and only 1 int, i dont know anything bout highschool stats but 1 int seems impressive to me. His voice sounds sorta like P Manning
