Dude it's football, i like em scruffy. Grow a beard, get a tat, grow out your hair, be clean shaven, wear visors, wear gloves, tape your hands, dress like prime/jerry on the field. don't care just play.

I personally hate The Yankees clean cut policy. If you wanna be flashy like Cierre that looks cool to me, if you wanna be scruffy like T-Rob its pretty bad-*** too

Please note my title for this thread. I'm just curious to see how others feel. I guess I'm just old fashioned in some ways. I think baseball players should still wear high socks and stirrups too.

I wore high socks and stirrups in baseball. I was a pretty boy on the field to be honest. Lots of Nike sweatbands and Griffey batting gloves.

I had a clean cut policy when I played high school football. Clean shaven, sidburns had to be above the earlobe, no long hair, hair had to be its natural color. It was a pain in the *** at times but it didnt really matter to me.

I don't like the hair hanging out of the helmet, but two things:

1. I would not support regulating it. Let the guy's peers decide. If the other Steelers want to let Troy Polamalu wear his hair like that, then so be it. I'll still mumble "That dude needs a haircut." at least once a quarter.

2. It's not even comparable to hair sticking out of a bikini. But that's another discussion entirely.

Don't like it and like less when they F-up. Don't like mohawks either. This is ND and I thought they had some different standards. Might as well break out the jumbotron, artificial turf and 20 different uniforms. I am waiting for a replay where som dude gets pulled down by their golden locks. Not big on all the ink either. They least they can do is get a big ND tat.

LOL, Now thats funny! It also highlights a great reason to NOT have long hair coming out of your helmet. It makes no sense to have a skin tight jersey, so nobody can grab it, then have a foot of hair hanging out.

Someone who grabs that is likely to get a horse-collar call, I would think muscle memory reduces the chances of that happening significantly. Plus I've never seen someone with hair this short be grabbed via their hair; this is not Polamalu.

I don't really have a big problem with long hair/dreds. Dreds make it look like we have a bunch of Predators running around the field. I say let 'em wear it if they want, they'll decide if they want to continue to wear them after a few hair pulls.
