You guys seriously think UM are better than MSU
No, not at all. But it's all about the matchups.
Michigan relies solely on speed right now. Notre Dame did extremely well for three quarters but then the bottom fell out. Denard wins every matchup against the front seven and in my opinion running laterally with a guy so damn quick is Notre Dame's weakness. That said I actually thought Notre Dame did better against the run than I would have thought. Everything Denard did he pulled out of his *** for the most part--but that is sorta his style against the Irish.
Michigan State is Wisconsin Lite. They will line up and run at you with their backs. When is the last time a team had running success against the Irish that didn't come from the quarterback being a freak? Notre Dame has literally shut down the rushing attacks of USF, Miami, USC, Army, Utah, Tulsa, etc. It's a tall order to get a push on this big, big DL. Cousins is a better passer than Robinson, and while he can move, he is no Robinson in that department. Pressure will have a bigger impact.
Notre Dame cannot turn the ball over though. But we've heard that one before.
