Where do we go from here?

So where do we go from here? Our defense has a stout test with Denard, our offense is allergic to the endzone, and we have a quarterback "controversy". We responded well to adversity late last season, so what happens from here going into Ann Arbor?

The team will be fine. I am fully confident we will win Saturday against Michigan.

We dont have a QB controversy. Tommy Rees is the starter.

We know we need to work on Redzone offense. So have the ones go against the ones for a good chunk of practice everyday.

Find out who is the best at just catching punts and put them out here on the punt team.

Take the mechanical ball thrower machine, and have Theo catch all day at practice everyday.

Play the same way they did against USF, just limit mistakes and play within themselves, and they will win.

I feel like the USF game was a perfect storm of crazy, unlucky, and stupid plays that rarely happen in 5 games a season, let alone just 1. This team is fine. People need to look at how much good happened, rather than the few negative spots.

Yes the negative spots cost us the game, but if they do all the positives again while limiting the mental mistakes they are gonna win a lot of games.

I think the only way to go is forward. The defense yesterday I thought played well they only gave up one touchdown which was in the second half and it seems like our defense had their back against the wall the whole first half due to offensive stuggles and terrible special teams play. I see our defense shutting down Denard.
Now our offense, I feel that Rees starts against Michigan and for the rest of the season. I know Dayne had some miscues to start the game but it seems when things start to go bad Dayne starts to panic, where Tommy stays calm. I also think Tommy has a thicker skin to handle Kelly yelling at him.
With all this said I think that Kelly will start fresh this week at practice put USF behind us and we come fired up and determined against Michigan and the rest of the season.

Go into the next two weeks and we find out if we're another mediocre ND team that's overhyped or we prove we're a BCS team this year. It all starts next week, against michigan, in front of screaming wolverine fans. Rocky 4 would have it no other way.

Get out the mechanical ball thrower and then turn the sprinklers on while a loud recording of BK screaming vulgarities plays over and over. If they can catch the ball under those circumstances the game is in the bag. Or you could just have BK operate the ball thrower himself while screaming obscenities the whole time with the sprinklers on.

We must not overreact to the USF game. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. This happens in football more often than any other sport.

agreed, we all know we could have easily beat this team by 14 points in we eliminate 2 mistakes. if we eliminate them all, then we beat this team by 40 and espn and all of us on here are getting excited for the national championship game. seriously tho we cant play any worse. This season is not lost by any means. i was predicting 2 or 3 losses anyway. 1st to Michigan (i hate to say that), 2nd to (stanford) and then for the 3rd i was throwing a random loss in there bc that always seems to happen. so in my estimation we are right on track fellas!!!!!

We will see what BK is made of. These are the moments that define great coaches. It is time for ND to grow up as a program and stop whining and under performing. BK has talent as a head coach no doubt but he has never been in a pressure cooker like this one. It's show time.

I agree, this will be a defining moment for the Irish. Will the Irish play with anger and try to dominate on offense and defense? Or will this be a team that cant handle preseason hype? This is the biggest game of Brian Kelly's coaching career at Notre Dame. This will tell us how good of a coach he is.

We go up north to that trash heap, dung hole of a state that smells like Detroit and beat the living bejesus out of them. We leave all our frustrations from last week laying on their field with a bunch of battered and bruised lameass Wussorines.

"....when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor...." I'm guessing that this is a line from a movie comedy?? I'm out of touch with a lot of pop culture.

I'm guessing no one graduated in that movie, but they were so drunk that they didn't care. With any luck that's not the guy teaching any of my nieces history --- but I fear it.
