Does anybody think Michigan will be ranked going into this game? I hope so. I'm expecting us to fall to the bottom or drop completely out.
On a side note, nobody's really talking about Rees's production. The guy almost had 300 yards in a half. That's pretty amazing. It'll be very interesting to see who BK goes with.
I know this isn't thread-related, but if Rees gets the start and is our QB for the year, Crist probably won't be granted a 5th year. Something I personally thought was a lock. But no sense in speculating, just thought I'd bring it up. He could very well be our starter next saturday and if he is, I expect him to play well.
On the NBC post game show last night, they said Michigan's DLine is very good, will be hard to run on and can pressure the QB.
Our D played a good game but we didn't seem to create much pressure in the backfield.
Notre Dame is a 1.5 point favorite over Michigan.

How could we be favored unless Michigan really wasn't that impressive. Maybe they see how much potential we have if we cut down the turnovers
I just think the team needs to play with a chip on its shoulder. That starts with being "disrespected" as the underdog. They have not earned the right the be favored in this game.
A Chip? I would want them to play with the whole bag on their shoulder.

I think we are a better team than Michigan but I don't think we should be favored either
I agree. I still stink we beat them though.

Maybe it was the 500 yards of total offense we amassed during the game. I mean we really cant kid ourselves, you take away even just a couple of those mistakes and we win this ballgame. Yesterday was a freak game and thats how I'll always look at it, that is what you would call WORST case scenario.
If they commit the same amount of turnovers next game then we have a whole different issue on our hands, but percentages say that they wont. God, heres hoping that we dont see that kind of game again all year.
Michigan actually didn't finish there game right? i thought i heard something on espn today that both teams agreed to call it due to waether.
I do too. I also thought that the last 2 years. I stay awake at night thinking about how incredible Clausen would have been in Kelly's spread. It'd be incredible.
I thought about that too. Oh well, I guess we just have to work with what we have and move forward.
I think you guys are putting way too much stock into just how good of a team South Florida is. They didn't even win the big east last year and Michigan stomped the big east champ in the opener last year. I rate the big east slightly better than the MAC. Michigan did what it was supposed to do yesterday and that was win. You can compare stats but when the Michigan defense scores two touchdowns that gave Western a big edge in overall offensive stats because they had the ball two more times. Overall I think Michigan had 5 possessions and on three Michigan scored. Our defense is no world beater that is for sure but Mattison did a fine job with the red zone adjustments and should come after who ever you have at qb.
The Michigan offense for the most part did what it wanted. I thought Carder, the Western Michigan qb was just tough as nails. On one possession he just got blasted and got up and was trash talking the Michigan defense. It reminded me of the movie Rocky. I like the fact that ND is the favorite. It seems like the favorite almost always loses in this game. Who the better team is never seems to matter so anything can happen. I think your qb situation could be trouble. The two most effective players you had against Michigan last season were Rudolph and Christ. I doubt Christ last a quarter. Last season I thought Reese did good against other teams but not against Michigan so I like our chances. Your coach just has your two qb's way to shaken up and nervous. The yelling stuff is just bad news.
