So where do we go from here? Our defense has a stout test with Denard, our offense is allergic to the endzone, and we have a quarterback "controversy". We responded well to adversity late last season, so what happens from here going into Ann Arbor?
The team will be fine. I am fully confident we will win Saturday against Michigan.
We dont have a QB controversy. Tommy Rees is the starter.
We know we need to work on Redzone offense. So have the ones go against the ones for a good chunk of practice everyday.
Find out who is the best at just catching punts and put them out here on the punt team.
Take the mechanical ball thrower machine, and have Theo catch all day at practice everyday.
Play the same way they did against USF, just limit mistakes and play within themselves, and they will win.
I feel like the USF game was a perfect storm of crazy, unlucky, and stupid plays that rarely happen in 5 games a season, let alone just 1. This team is fine. People need to look at how much good happened, rather than the few negative spots.
Yes the negative spots cost us the game, but if they do all the positives again while limiting the mental mistakes they are gonna win a lot of games.
