Transferring from Oregon to Baylor

Seeking to be eligible immediately stating he wants to be closer to his sick grandmother.
Not to mention he fell behind freshman, DeAnthony Thomas and Tra Carson and starters LaMichael James and Kenjon Barner.

Of course he is in the crosshairs of the NCAA for violations that Chip Kelly paid 25,000 dollars to a recruiting service to land Lache.

Great runningback coming out of HS....wonder what happened to make him fall behind. But if he gets eligible right away and gets his act together it could lift Baylor dramatically with Griffin behind center.

Sidenote:

Crazy with the schools that have committed or are under investigation of committing:

Oregon
Ohio State
USC
LSU
Boise St.
Tennessee
Auburn
Clemson
Miami, FL
Michigan
UNC
West Virginia

I feel so. Top-notch RB getting passed up by freshman. Shouldn't happen to a player with his talents. Best wishes to his G-ma in all seriousness....but for speculation purposes he may have seen an opportunity to use that to get out of Oregon and still be eligible.

I mean he has only one year more experience than DeAnthony Thomas . So I can see him getting passed by black momba...

I live 30 minutes from where he went to High School in a Suburb or Waco, word here is he was buried on the depth chart there, and has a sick grand parent. Baylor has petitioned the NCAA to approve instant eligibility because of the family illness.

I saw him play in High School, he is a burner for sure, and a great get for Baylor. There are rumors here that he felt like the coaching staff distanced themselves from him because of the allegations. FWIW

Wish Baylor had gotten McGuffie when he transferred from Michigan. I've always rooted for Baylor for whatever reason, probably just cause they're always so crappy.

Did he really say this?!?! Wow. Maybe he is taking advantage of the NCAA's new approach, play rat and gain immunity.

I think it was the best move for Lache to get out or Eugene. There wasnt much of a chance that he was going to see the field this year, possibly not even next year. Worst case scenario is that he has to sit out this season and and then has 3 years of eligibility left. He is just in a better situation now, bc of both the location and playing time he should receive at Baylor. I wish him luck.

He said this on a local Waco radio show. Maybe he could be dropping the dime on Oregon for immunity. Players like Marve at Purdue have done the same for telling the truth about the mishaps of the program to keep their eligibility.

If he was nudged out of the door, the only reason I can think of would be that he was buried on the depth chart. Why leave because of the allegations? If there is a penalty coming down from the NCAA to ORE, its still gonna happen whether Lache is there or not. the damage was already done.

Like I said earlier in this thread...Loved this kid coming out of high school. What a huge game he had last night! Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Think Oregon could have used another player with his speed last night?

I think he helped Oregon enough last night. Did all he could to help them be #1 but they couldn't win themselves.
