Maybe I confused some people. When I said it can't be argued, I meant that him being put at 4th team All-American and that being an outrage couldn't be argued.

Like I said, he was in my opinion the best kicker in the nation last year and should be this year too.

Manti has had a good first two years in college. This year will definitely be the All-American year. If he has one and the defense around him is superb then I can see him being 1st team. We will get a good chance to him and Keuchly in the same game and see which one comes to play.

What are peoples opinion on Zach Martin? You think he should be looked at? I know he had one good year and wasn't well known but he was talked about a lot last year and I can only see good thinigs from him this year.

Martin will build his credentials during this year. Last year he was a "rookie" playing on a line which slowly gelled. There was no reason for external commentators to notice much. But Kelly and the staff HAVE noticed, and continuously cited him for excellence. This year, with the line playing a much more obvious role in our success, the external commentators will begin wondering "who's doing that"? Kelly and Warriner will then inform them clearly about Big Zach and off will go his AA campaigns.

Ruffer on 4th team is an outrage. I also don't understand why that one LB from BC is so hyped up. Is it because he's the only player on that defense that can make a tackle?

Thats the one that had me going WTF...

you can make alot of arguments at other positions...kicking is simple...I could choke down second team for a couple miscues on PATs...but this is nuts.

It's only a Preseason thing. So I dont have a problem with Floyd on 2nd. Thought Teo might make 1st though, and I think Luck has to be on 1st over Jones. But hey, Steele isn't going to be able to please everyone. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

At the end of the day, when theses players careers are over and they are cherished by their fan base, alumni, and school....some of them inducted into Hall of Fame's and such....

We don't talk about them being preseason All-Americans, but All-Americans.

They do earn it.
