I lived in the Lehigh Valley and watched Dan Persa play. THis kid is Persa times 2.

Only a Junior, he has thrown for over 2000 yards and rushed for over 1000 yards for the 2nd year in a row.

He is Pennsylvania Gatorade Player of the Year and lead team to undefeated record into the state finals this Friday.

Last game on Dec 12th in semi-finals he racked up 601 yards of total offense throwing for 418 and 5 TD's and rushing for another 183 and 2 TD's.

Not sure how he'd fit in with ND but he has interest. Message boards think because he grew up a Penn State fan that he is a shoe in for PSU but I have heard otherwise from friends who went to Central and hear a few things that it isnt a stone cold lock. They arent the best in-state recruiters.

You from Allentown/Bethlehem?

I debated about going but got stuck finishing some school work on Friday night.

My roommate went to Central and is heading out to the finals in Hershey on Friday to see him in action against Bishop McDevitt. I may venture out as well....

For people outside PA, let me paint the picture for you. He passed for and ran for over 2000 yards as a SOPHOMORE. he did it again as a junior.

PSU fans don't think they will get him because of their current depth at QB

This past Saturday in the state semi final game, he OUTGAINED his own team in offensive yardage. kid is a scary talent and can be taken out of state

Those numbers are ridiculous. For those of us outside PA, what's the talent level he plays against?

PSU has depth at QB? They have Bolden and that walk-on McGroin or whatever.

What happened to the Newsome kid? He was pretty highly regarded, as I recall.

talent level moderate, you also have to look at there two wr. scipio and especially gulyas. they help make him what he is. although he pretty much gets it done on his own.

Whoa, why you gotta insult McGloin? He's performed pretty well after getting his chance, and is one of the reasons Penn St. salvaged their season.

As for Nosovitch, this kid is the real deal from what I hear. I'm from NEPA, and our district champion beat my alma mater and got the chance to play Allentown Central Catholic ub the first round of states. This kid has produced the entire time he's played.

It shouldn't be overlooked that he is surrounded by talent, in comparison with who they've been playing. They are a tremendous team across the board. That isn't to say he isn't a great player, but it's easier to be great if you're on a great team.

Just what college football needs, for Penn State to **** on more young talent (assuming Nosovitch signs there). They pissed on Austin Scott. They pissed on Pat Devlin.

Nosovitch could leave high school early and start in for a team the Legends division....

Seen him play and hes the real deal. Central is a 3A school but plays in a conference thats all 4A teams so yeah the competition level is good. But its going to take alot to get him away from PSU. Not based on any facts just a gut feeling.

Nosovitch plays against top talent

Nosovitch plays against top talent

This kid plays against the top teams in the state (4A) during the regular season, but goes down one notch to 3A for the state playoffs. The league he is in during the regular season has had multiple state champs in 4A in the last ten years. He has a nice offensive line and some decent receivers, but he runs a spread ofense and he is the talent that makes it work.

Would love to get him, but with the talent ND already has and the big named QBs like Mauk and Kiel etc lined up for his year (2012) I don't think it will happen.

For those who live in PA and are wondering of Nosovitch is the real deal,, PCN is aiting the 3A championship and coverage has already begun. I think kickoff is 7:30.

Allentown Central Catholic vs Bishop McDevitt.

Should be a high scoring affair.

Watching the game, Slow start for him. McDevitt is bringing the house every play.

He just went over 3000 yards pasing for the season. Of all the great PA QB's, It is believed that he is the first PA QB to throw for 3000 and rush for 1000.

I'm watching the game and IMO he is looking a little shaky. Nothing so far has been too impressive except a couple of throws while he was hit, but those were manly great because of the amazing adjustments of his receivers.

However, lined up opposite of him, Noah Spence looks like a beast. Although he doesn't look like the 240lbs that scout listed him at (220 maybe 230lbs), he sure deserves that 5 star rating. If he isn't hitting Nosovitch on the throw is because he is getting held. This is the guy from PA Notre Dame needs to focus on next year

Agree with everything you said. But great players pull out great wins and that bomb to the tight end was nice. 28 27 final. Hopefully nd keys in on the right players from this game.

Since no one answered your question i guess i will hahaha

well coming into this 2010 season Kevin Newsome was the favorite to win the starting QB job .... during spring/summer Newsome and Matt McGloin were named co-starters (im guessing a 2 QB system) but they where also competing with Robert Bolden. both Newsome/McGloin lost their starters spot to freshmen Bolden, and Newsome and McGloin shared the 2nd string QB position all year (until Boldin went down) McGloin beat out Newsome for the starters spot. So rumor is now that Kevin newsome is going to transfer to another school, he can do that since he was only a redshirt sophomore ........ Paterno said this after hearing Newsome might transfer "We think he's a fine prospect. Having said that, at this stage, he's not quite as far along as the others."

In other words---My son, Jay, couldnt develop Sh!t as a QB coach so We'll let another young athlete slide into PSU oblivion, allow him to transfer to 1AA school and prosper under good coaching.

I heard a rumor that Nosovitch verbal committed to Villanova. Pretty crazy considering the possible attention he could get from bigger schools next season after his production the previous 2 seasons.

Also, read that Bolden is looking to transfer. Their QB situation is very risky.

He's possibly setting up a visit with ND.

“Academics will be the first thing I’ll be looking at,” the 2010 first team all-state selection said. “I’ll be majoring in Business, so I’ll want them to have a good Business program. I want to go to a school that runs the spread offense because that’s what I’m used to. I’ll also be looking at the campus and seeing how I fit in there.”

Based off of that checklist, Notre Dame should be in excellent shape.

Let's see what happens... He ran a laser timed 4.6, and says he's hoping to shave some time off of it.
