Interesting, this kid goes to my Dad's alma mater and is in the same conference as my high school. If they play at my school next year I'll have to go see him play. 3:38-3:56 is at our field.

1) Looks faster than 4.6
2) Looks like a better Dan Persa-no surprise NW has offered
3) People said Mauk was a perfect fit for Kelly's offense. I see it way more in this kid.

Irish Offer Alviti on June 26, 2011

Irish Offer Alviti on June 26, 2011

After a spectacular performance (14 of 15) in 7 on 7 drills in front of the Irish staff on Saturday, June 25th, Matt Alviti sat with Coach Kelly the following day and was verbally offered a scholarship from the coach himself. Alviti looks to be a perfect fit for Kelly's system, which demands a QB who can throw with tremendous accuracy, has very good speed, and the ability to make intelligent, quick decisions. According to the coaching staff and the resulting scholarship offer, Alviti appears to have it all.

Still young folks ... lets not forget that! The kid can move I think!

- strong arm
- accuracy
- rolls and throws well
- good vision

Can anyone comment on how good his actual throwing form is? That is something I lack heavy on as far as knowledge. I like.

Is it me or does this kid have 1 or 2 solid D-1 WR's on his team?

Alviti went 12-0 as a sophomore starter while leading his team to the Illinois 8A State Championship against Mt. Carmel (Chicago).

Sooo...I assume the fact that he came to camp means he has a strong interest in ND. Any info on how strong?

That highlight reel was more impressive than Golson's, and that's saying something.

-Kid has wheels; faster than any QB on our roster.
-Very quick release
-Accurate long ball
-Hard to assess his throwing mechanics from that video, but it looks sound
-Yes, he has some amazing receivers

He reminds me alot of Golson. Kinda undersized, quick, elusive. Good passing skills, very elusive runner. I think alot of BK's qb's will be of the Golson/Alviti mold (around 6'0"-ish 180lbs-ish).

so much for "the qb competition between Golson and Hendrix in '13 will be intense" :)

my aunt and uncle live in park ridge and two of my cousins went to maine south. M.S. has won the state championship the past 3 years with 3 different QB's.

i like what i see with this kid.

big plus with the roll out and controlled throw.
bigger plus was seeing him run lead blocker on that busted zone read play!

No problem. My first post on this site. It was not a verbatim quote of a premium source nor is there a link to be cited. The source is the author.
