I remember when this happened a few years ago at UCLA. I can't remember the outcome and I am far too lazy to look it up, but I seem to remember it was kind of a non-issue. I think the players in question lost on campus parking priviledges or some BS along those lines.
It sucks, but it will probably just get swept under the rug.
Yeah, I mean, I don't think it's a big deal... but just like... how the hell do you even get $13k in parking tickets?
Yeah, that's a lot of dough. At some point, you would think they would change where they choose to park.
Unless they have an invincible feeling of entitlement stemming from constantly receiving "special" (read: illegal) benefits, so that they no longer feel like the rules apply to them.
I know it's a pretty strange scenario, I'll admit, but we have to at least entertain its possibility.
For some reason, this really doesn't bother me. With all of the rampant cheating going on, this is small taters.
Greg Little had nine license plates in 22 months. The student newspaper discovered this by searching a public database after UNC was finally sued into releasing records requested under the FOIA act. There is obviously some combination of car trouble, generous grandmothers from poor sections of Durham, footloose and fancy-free car swapping on the whims of a young man feeling the wind in his hair, and OBVIOUS EXTRA BENEFITS UNC WAS BEING SLAPPED IN THE FACE WITH EVERY TIME HE GOT A PARKING TICKET, WHICH WAS APPARENTLY ON A DAILY BASIS that explains how this may have occurred.
Meanwhile, phone records show John Blake was talking to Marvin Austin and Gary Wichard when they were on one of their non-kosher trips. They're going to get hammered, too.
