He is also reported between a 4.5 and a 4.6 so he is not as slow as the time is reported. It depends on where the time is reported at

I saw that too, but unfortunately, I don't have access to the premium info either.

He only sent a text to them saying that as of now, he's 100% Irish. Might mean nothing, might mean everything, but I will say that I didn't exactly love the "as of now" part, but when guys that didn't grow up bleeding ND blood commit this early, then all it means (as we keep saying) is that we are in the #1 slot for now, and every other school knows which school they are trying to beat.

Thanks. I know what you mean, I'm not a big fan of hearing "as of now" either. I guess we'll just see what happens as it is still a long way off till NSD.

agreed...we'll get a few more after they visit us over the summer, wouldn't surprise me to see us with double digit commits going into August.

ND is "roaming the panhandle" right now, so I am sure they will stop in to see Justin. He is an underrated get IMO.

Per 247 the coaching staff must have sniffed this out as well, and it has been addressed. Justin is not going anywhere....

"I did an interview the other day and the coaches got a little worried about what I said," the 6-2, 205-pound Flanagan High (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) receiver reported to BlueandGold.com. "I recently got an offer from Alabama so I said that I might go there for a visit to check things out, but that's not going to happen. I never thought about changing my mind to go there or anything like that."

For those interested, he has one message he wants to deliver.

"I want everyone to know that I'm committed to Notre Dame," he said. "I'm definitely keeping my commitment."

Ferguson may have pondered taking a trip to Tuscaloosa, but he only has one visit destination in mind moving forward - South Bend.

"I want to visit there a couple more times before the season starts," he said. "I'll probably go out there in July so I can be around the team and keep building a relationship with the players.

"I really want to go out there for the USC game for my official visit, but we'll have to see how it all works out."

There are going to be 500 high school players at the USC game.

It's going to be great.

And if we destroy the girls of Troy? (Not the cheerleaders OMM, we'll leave that to you. ;) [call me if you need help])
Landslide. Too bad our class may be full by then.

They are going to need more than that to fill up the Coliseum. The USC bandwagon fans are jumping off that sinking ship faster than fleas off a dead bums crotch.

I'm already getting goosebumps for that F'ing game.

I was on the field in '05 standing next to Stephen A Smith, who was not pleased with the result either.

Payback's a bitch.

BillyTucker: We feel WR Justin Ferguson is really flying under the radar nationally. He has the coveted size and speed you look for on the outside. The class as a whole continues to add speed and athleticism to Notre Dame's roster.

So, basically anybody who attributs 4.8 second, 40 yard dash speed to JK, is kind of off the mark? Everybody has been hinting at it no one has come out and said it . . .

Watch his video and tell me if he has game speed. People place way too much emphasis on Junior Combine 40 times.

That quote meant he's kind of fast.

Don't you think his high rating on ESPN is attributable to his father's connections?? From the ISD articles on him it seemed like his dad knew the right guys to contact, as opposed to someone like Greenberry who was relatively unknown.

Don't get me wrong, I think Ferguson is a baller, but the huge disparity in the ESPN ranking between him a Greenberry raises the question.

40 times are ridiculously silly, and are wastes of time. They are for the fans...sorry guys.

More or less this is true. However the 40 times are good to show raw athleticism but there is so much more than that in what makes a good football player.

It is vastly overrated as they are in shorts in a t-shirt running a straight line for 40 yards, that situation is never going to happen in a game so why put to much stock into it.

Running, catching and passing are so much different with pads on.
