Considered one of the best 2012 TE prospects. Coach Denbrock was at his school last week trying to set up a spring / summer visit to ND.

Excellent break down by his coach.

Taylor seems like a RKG. Hard worker and very classy.

I'd love to see him continue Notre Dame's tradition as Tight End U!

Has been offered by USC and Miami. High on both of them as well as Ohio State. However this was all prior to the ND offer

Jim, once again, another great read. I'll make sure to try reading all your ND articles.

Thanks Beau, are you noticing the same thing that I am, all of these kids are RKG's. I like it a lot. I will be talking to Tom Strobel tomorrow night so look for that to be coming out in a few days.
Taylor Mc seems to be a real good kid. Man does he love to play ball.

Is he on the JV team in the video? Cause it is the JV coach talking about him, and the other kids are very small

Cut his list to 7, with ND present per ESPN:

ESPNU 150 Watch List TE Taylor McNamara of California is working with a short list of seven schools, with plans to further narrow his choices down to five finalists sometime next month. McNamara said he would take some officials this fall before making a decision.

McNamara's current short list includes Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Notre Dame, Oregon and Stanford. "It's not official yet but it could be pretty soon," McNamara said when asked whether these are the only schools still in the running.

McNamara is ranked the No. 2 TE in the country by 247Sports.com, and the No. 84 overall prospect by Rivals.com.

Wow...no USC? That's surprising considering he recently went to their junior day. Good for him...

Has Oregon and Alabama offered?

It's not reported on Rivals, Scout or 24/7, but it could be recent. That or they are recruiting him hard but told him an offer is contingent upon seeing some Senior Year film.

Has a chance to play early. Comfortable with the school and the direction it is going. Likes the players and trusts the coaches and it's close enough for friends/family/coaches to come watch him play.
