rtrn2glory - yea it was a designed QB draw that the O coordinator said he called to calm his nerves???? if he's nervous for a spring game after playing in the atmospheres he's played in???
Bill Russell used to throw up before every single game, and he was perhaps the greatest team player in the history of sports (and I'm a Lakers fan). Athletes get nervous. Big deal. Robinson proved that on the big stage, he produces.
he should be a receiver by summer if they want to get the most out of him.
Why, so he can touch the ball like 6 times a game? Or of they're creative, 10 times a game?
WR is their deepest position - why move him there?
And who's going to throw him the ball? Their back-up is also an option-read/spread QB who is NOT better than Robinson at this time.
Why would you take a guy who was a Heisman candidate at one time last year, your most electrifying player player and your best player, and have him learn a brand new position in which nobody will be able to get the ball to him anyway? I could see if he had Ryan Mallett behind him, then yeah, move him to wideout. But he's the best Michigan has, because RR set up his offense that way. So Hoke is doing it the way he thinks is right, teaching him the pro-style offense while also keeping a lot of the spread principals in place.
I don't doubt that Denard is going to struggle, but who else are you going to put back there???
