Line opened at 4. Its actually down to 3. As usual I added .5 to provent any ties. I was going to make it 2.5 to go along with trend of the line dropping but I didnt. if it changes Ill update.

How come everyone isnt bashing UCONN, isnt Calhoun suspended for recruiting violations, the first 4 games next season? Isnt this a little like UNLV back in 91, when they lost to Duke, and worked a deal with the NCAA to push back punishment a year?

I am sick of cheating schools getting to play in championship games, Oregon, Auburn, UConn, the only school that has followed the rules is Butler. What a great example for all the rest of schools and coaches, when trying to build their programs. Cheat+Caught=Championships, but I am not very good at math.

Nate Miles did not play one game with UCONN, so they could win (or lose) tonight, and they would not have to vacate a single win.

Josh Nochimson (the offender) is a scum bag who also took a few million from Rip Hamilton. I dont even know his role- he is some sort of former team manager turned agent who is probably trying to grab some players early on by befriending them.

NCAA perfomed an investigation, and to this point, came to the findings that Calhoun was un-aware that this idiot was sending texts and calling over the limit. He also gave him about $6 grand. Nate Miles was a problem to begin with having attended 6 different High schools in 5 years and apparently the AD had to beg admissions to let him in.

You reap what you sow- deal with a shady dude like Nochimson and a bad apple in Miles and you get this. UCONN was warned about dealing with Miles (and Nochimson). Now Miles wants to change his story and say that Calhoun did know and apparently the NCAA is going to listen to his side and see if his stories hold any truth and then decide if they will re-open the investigation. In my mind, Miles loses credibilty when he told the NY times that is asking for $ for interviews.

Apparently, he is basically homeless and says he can't afford $10 to join the local rec center in Toledo. Additionally, Dayton gave him the boot out of the Premier Basketball League. Also, he is recovering from a stab wound. You tell me if you are going to value his credibility or if he is just a person trying to get some attention while UCONN has the attention.

Before I read the Pitino article I liked UConn. But if he says they're tired.... well, maybe they're tired. And Butler is a bad team to be tired against with the grinder style they play.

Though he is probably right about a couple parts in that article, Pitino comes off as sounding butthurt about the Huskies beating Louisville.

Line not moving in UConn's favor... down to -165.

What does that mean exactly?

The line opened at a certain amount (in this case MMG set the moneyline at -175 which means if you bet $1 you get $1.57) and has moved in such a fashion that it indicates people placing bets on Butler. With the line at -165, a bet on UConn pays roughly $1.61 on a $1 bet.
