Congratulation to Coach Brey.

I think most people believe he is a fine coach but he needs to find a way to elevate his recruiting. The improvement in facilities has to help. Hopefully we can pull off a stunner and get Gary Harris to commit.

This will help with recruiting. Of course a deep run in the Tourney and a Big East Championship would also really help, but I applaud Coach Brey. He's taken 3 and 4 star recruits and consistently beaten teams full of 4 and 5 star kids. Congrats Coach Brey!!!

What is there to see? Youre argument was incredibly weak. Hope for your sake you can come up with something better than that.

You say my argument is weak yet u offer no counter points to my own. you sure showed me

If Brad Stevens is such a good coach why did they have such a bad regular season?

If you're weighting tourney performance only it goes to Shaka Smart who took a far less experienced and talented team from first four and "not passing the laugh test" to the final four. They blew people out on their way. If you're weighting regular season performance it is Brey. Brad Stevens had yet another good tourney run and is a fantastic coach... but his resume for the regular season is far below a lot of coaches and his resume for the tourney is below Shaka.

.

The team had a problem adapting to adversity during games, when Louisville started pressing, our O caved, as for the Youngstown, Evansville, and UWM games, when Butler wasnt able to go on runs, they fell apart. In early January, Stevens began changing around the lineup and emphasizing defensive toughness. Finally, they WANT TO WIN, they turn it up during the NCAAs, they are team that will not be denied, and i believe they have one ore in them.

Your arguement is basically equivalent to player x has struggled in the post season therefore he shouldn't win the mvp this season. Or player y has struggled in bcs bowl games therefore shouldn't win the heisman.

If it were something like a lifetime achievement award then you have a case, but it isn't. It's based on THIS year and with the year ND had he absolutely deserved the award

Probably the reason that his 15 peers in the Big East voted him Big East Coach of The Year and the AP Writers that vote the AP Top 25 voted him AP Coach of The Year. He had double the vote total of the second place finisiher. The AP Writers probably considered ND was not only unranked in the Preseason Polls but was picked to finish 7th or 8th in the Big East.

For the year ND had its Most Wins in a Season in the modern era and Most Big East Wins since joining the conference.

Not too shabby for a team built with a couple of transfers, 2 and 3 star players, no big man (men), and a young bench.

And no ND didn't make the Final Four. No teams in the Top 8 seeds made the Final Four. Only two teams in the Top 25 seeds did.

Oh yeah, he also had to contend with ND Admissions AND ND's ResLife, something the other teams in the dance didn't have to live with.
