That would be a good draw for the Irish. I just can't see Pitt and SD St. being #1 seeds over Duke and Texas though.

I hope like heck they get placed in Chicago! If my high school team is out of the tournament I'll be there!

I don't want the Irish to see Mizzou in the second round, their style of play would be a difficult matchup.

So would it be bad if I'm rooting for a #2 seed and placement in Chicago? I don't see a diff between 1 and 2!

Pretty crazy that ND is up to #4 in the country. Good showing the BE tourney gets us a #1 seed (if UNC wins ACC) and an early exit gets a #2 seed. Love it.

Really not much of a difference in a #1 or #2 unless we draw Kansas as our #1. If that happens I will be PISSED. People can talk about Ohio State all they want but Kansas scares me a lot more than the Buckeyes.

Slightly unrelated but watching BYU vs. SDSU on Versus right now and I saw them plug Notre Dame football with a banner with the ND monogram across the bottom. It said: "Celebrate the Irish, watch 3 epic Notre Dame games on St. Patrick's Day." Loving this merger.

Okay, I guess people don't know this. The seeds and host cities are not tied together. It's based on the location of the highest seed. Duke and North Carolina will play in Charlotte. Florida will play in Tampa. Pittsburgh and Ohio State will play in Cleveland. Kansas and Texas will play in Tulsa. BYU will be in Denver. Purdue and Notre Dame will be in Chicago. It doesn't matter what seeds these teams will get. That's where they will play.

Doug Gottlieb is absolutely going off right now how ND should be a #1 seed against these two clowns arguing for North Carolina. Wow. I mean seriously he is raging about how the ACC stinks and regardless of who wins between Duke and UNC that ND deserves a #1.

I like listening to him and usually value his analysis. You shouldnt have 2 number 1 seeds from that weak conference. Big East should get 1. And then either Duke of NC. Whats annoying is if North Carolina wins, then they will be the 1 seed and then the committe will probably favor Duke and possibly give them a 1 seed.

Same. I posted last night about one of his "tweets" where he said something along the lines of, "That's more like it. ND blows 18 point lead." And someone wrote back saying something about how he shouldn't trash ND and that ND fans don't care about what happened with him at ND 15 years ago, and he "re-tweeted" that response. Might be reading too much into it, but maybe he appreciated the comment and might realize he was over-looking this team's resume. He was pushing Texas as a possible 1 seed if they beat KU, but that obviously didn't happen. OSU and KU are obvious #1's and its apparent its going to be down to ND, Pitt, and the Duke/UNC winner for the last two #1 seeds. I would love a 1 seed just for the recognition, but as long as were not in OSU or KU's bracket than a 2 is fine. We deserve a 1 though, its fairly obvious when looking at the whole body of work this year.

When he was a freshman at ND. He stole credit cards from a roommate and fraudulently charged over $900 to the them. Then he was expelled from the team and eventually convicted of misdemeanour fraud.

The ACC isn't gonna get 2 #1 seeds. The winner of the Championship game will likely get a #1 seed. The other will be a #2

All I'm gonna say is that this tournament is gonna be a blast. Its going to be full of parody. Buzzer beaters, major upsets and I think for the first time a #1 seed will lose in the first round. Bout to get real EXCITING!
