USC bans players from attending Everson Griffen party - ESPN Los Angeles

Propaganda showing the NCAA how they are "following the rules" and monitoring all situations.. I like this part though:

"Griffen, 23, has been arrested twice within the last week in Los Angeles. On Saturday, he was arrested for public drunkenness. Monday, he was pulled over by police and found to have an invalid license. He then allegedly assaulted an officer and attempted to run from police, after which he was tasered and arrested for investigation on felony battery."

Shrewd move by Haden. There are a number of ACC/SEC schools that wish they had done that last year.

How long before the Kiffin/Haden relationship fails? I'm guessing right around when sanctions are over.

How much do you want to bet some players still go, they just don't go through this specific 'excursion'. Then somehow magically get reimbursed for the trip.

No wonder why professional athletes are broke within 3 years of retirement. They are morons with their money.

"I would like to make it clear that this event has exclusively been financed for and arranged by myself, with no association to Jordan Campbell or 1st Round Entertainment," Griffen wrote on Facebook, adding that all trip participants are required to pay a $100 fee.

"I'm a businessman," Griffen wrote in a text message. "I'm trying to start my promoting business, I'm not doing everything at all. Just bring everyone down to Vegas for superbowl weekend for 100 dollars.

"I'm not paying for anything."

He is either paying for it or he's not paying for it?

I guess it all depends on who's asking.

I know all college athletes aren't nuclear physicists, but they should have tot take and get at least a C in financial management or economics.

I saw a report this week that 60% of pro athletes are broke within three years of retirement. Idiots
