About our recruiting class. The fans are wondering how we can recruit so much better then them when UM beats ND every year? The responses range from "who cares, ND is the king of doing more with less". "It doesn't matter how well they recruit, we own them". "ND will never be UM" "Star rating get inflated once they commit to ND".

They also refuse to admit the possibility that the 2010 game's outcome may have been different if DC played the whole game.

I hope ND runs of 10 in a row against UM, and Brady Hoke.

Michigan has a great program, but their fans are unbearable.

One of them was bragging about their amazing offensive depth on a highlight video of their game against Bowling Green, all the while trashing Notre Dame and saying, "Crist got hurt? Doesn't matter. You don't have depth. We taught the NCAA a lesson in this game." Then I chimed in a few months later and talked about our 4-0 finish with our true frosh QB, and this UM fan could give ND no credit.

Try living in Michigan. Stupid scUM fans all over. Have to deal with them everyday. Those that I deal with on daily basis, the majority, said they were thankful that Crist got hurt, they admitted ND would have beat them. The scUM fans were getting all jacked up with their 2* and 3* recruits.

We need to settle it on the field for a few years in a row. We've won twice since 2005. Should be on a 3 game win streak, but until we knock them convincingly....I'll brood silently.

Michigan has the most obnoxious fan base (second to only maybe tOSU) but really every student I've met from UM has been an OK person... but all of their "I used to build cars before my union made our labor rates uncompetitive and now I have nothing to do but sit on my butt and cheer for a school I never went to without bothering to objectively consider situations because UM is the greatest football program ever" fans are beyond unbearable.

To them, DR got snubbed for the Heisman, UM is going 12-0 next year because their offense is SO GOOD and Brady Hoke was the 1st choice for coach. It's seriously pathetic. I love hearing them talk about their "amazing" victory over Illinois when what they should be saying is "I can't believe ILLINOIS scored that many points on us."

Next season with the night game in the Big House very well may define both of our seasons. Can't wait.

I can look at SC, Michigan, BC,..whoever and look logically and unbiasedly and say "hey they've got a good team" if they do. People just can't do that for ND, and use vicious and nonsensical attacks against ND.

Denard will be a problem early, but Hoke's offense isn't going to use Denard the same as RichRod which will hurt his productivity. ND's defense will be able to contain him, but UM's defense is not going to be able to stop Nd's offense. ND will get on top heading into half time by 2 scores. UM will have to come out throwing and turning it over. ND rolls, and Brady Hoke gets his first dose of "Bo this, and Bo that".

Game Twelve: "Wow, we suck."

The worst part is that we've lost to their terrible football team two years in a row.

+billion. You got that right!! I don't pay much attention to trash talking and I will let the actions of our teams on the field speak for themselves. We are getting better and better and within the next year or two we will be a HUGE force to reckon with.

This thread is supposed to be about UM fans talking smack they have no business talking. I'll stand by my point that they are incredibly obnoxious and roughly comparable to Alabama and tOSU. The difference is that tOSU and Alabama actually win so they've kinda earned the right to be obnoxious. UM fans cite that they've "owned us" the past two years... and really we're 1-2 over the past 3 years (as mathematically close as possible over a 3 year span), the win 2 years ago in Ann Arbor was riddled with hometown officiating and this year's loss we can blame on losing DC. When DC played we absolutely dominated them.

They're just very delusional about the quality of their football team, the fact that they settled for their 3rd choice of coach, the quality of their recruits, etc. I like the two UM guys who post here and the guy who runs MGoBlog because they are fairly intelligent, realistic and insightful. Not all of their fans are bad and like I said every student I've run into (mostly engineers) are all smart, capable people. But their "average" fan is unbearable... way worse than BC, PurDONT or even USC.

Brian at mgoblog is perhaps the last realistic scUM fan over on that site. And for that I respect him. The rest of them are propaganda following zombies. They don't know why scUM will be good next year. But dammit they are scUM fans and they are gonna win it all next year...

If anything it seems stars diminish once we get them ( see c. wood). I mean how is it that not one of the 3 stud de's we landed are 5 stars recruits on the espn 150?

Not to mention that our defense was not playing very well then. If we played them when we played army or utah i do believe that would be a win for us. However you can't change the past lets hope kelly can't get these guys going and be ready to win.
