They both were co-MVPs..

Again, that may be, but I have not seen that anywhere. I did see an article in the Detroit Free Press that said Arnett was the only Michigan player to earn MVP honors. Also saw in print somewhere else naming Remound with no mention of Hayes. Do you have a link? Not trying to be a smartass here

Go look on the GH board.

He definitely deserves an offer. Scout, Rivals, Junkhead, we all know how it works. I will be disappointed if ND doesn't lock him up. Local guy, 4 star, working for an offer, good grades etc. Top notch northern Indiana recruits are rare, this guys deserves to be at ND!

So why hasn't he been offered?

Looks real good, looks real interested.... I say lock him up!

Earlier comments from staff about his height from what his dad told me. He is a relative newcomer as well. Had a broken foot freshman year and only had a hanful of carries as a soph. He was behind another very good senior back. Last year was really his first year as the feature back, and they didn't really jump into the camp mix until late. His speed is just a hair off of the big elite backs, but folks have now gotten a chance to see him perform on the camp circuit and like what they see. Also, we have a realistic shot with some top national RB prospects, Hayes included.
His overall strength will compare or beat any back out there. Wrap that up in a 5'9" frame, you have a very dangerous and virtually invisible back behind a huge O-line.

Where? Looked on GH but didn't see it.

In his profile.. I believe a guy in there mention that he was co-MVP.. Don't think it's true then rigester and parade around in his profile and you'll get the same line I gave you.

So the source that hou're relying on "is some guy said on a message board".

Find a cite, an article or desist. I've searched articles and found nothing. FWIRISH has searched and found nothing.

The closest I found was a Freep article which mentions something about Michigan stars doing well at that camp and one athlete went there with the INTENT to win the MVP. As you read the article they never say he did. That's the closest I found.

FWIrish doesn't have to spend any more of his time justifying this to you find a cite. Check your PMs.

I am registered and I did parade around in his profile. I also paraded around in Hayes's profile. Nothing mentioned. I did see on another board where someone said he was co-MVP but when he said he would let me know where he saw that, there was no follow. I have provided you with 2 legit links, 1 from here where Remound lives, and 1 from Michigan where Hayes lives, neither mentions a co-mvp. One would think that the way the article begins with talk of Arnett's MVP, that if another Michigan player had been awarded even on a co basis, it would have been mentioned. It was not.
The ball is in your court Dirty. Don't give me a line, give me a link.

I found the reference Dirty. It was from a Griff Cannon. He never went back and looked. I tried a few weeks ago, and found the two I posted but nothing else.
I, as an ND fan would be thrilled to have Hayes or Huggins or Poteet. I, as a friend of the Wrights would love nothing more to have jr. suit up for the Irish. I know what he brings to the table as a player and teammate. I do not have that same knowledge of the other backs, but it sounds like Hayes is a worker just like Remound.

My high school plays Dwenger this saturday for the 4a state championship, it should be a good game. Ill be sure to take a good look at him this weekend. I invite anyone in the Indianapolis area to come to Lucas Oil Stadium to see the game

Word is now that he canceled his scheduled Iowa visit this weekend. Apparently he also confirmed the ND offer on his facebook.

He was always viewed as too short to play DB by our staff but I never understood why we thought he wasn't a good fit at RB. He is fast, strong and pretty agile. Always was very high on ND... very glad to see he got an offer BUT I hope that doesn't mean we're losing Okotcha or Cam or something crazy like that.

Who knows the reason, but it looks like we might have a "surprise" before signing day.

I guess BK just wants an explosive back, I think all of the verbals are solid.

Thank God.

As a Fort Wayne native, I always wanted to know we didn't give this kid a scholly off the bat.

He is a legit force at running back.

Hopefully it's not too little too late.

I have a good feeling about this.

To recap for those late to the show so you don't have to re-read all of the posts:

Remound has a running style very similar to Dion Lewis. He has very good speed and is strong for his size. He showed very high interest in Notre Dame from the beginning but our staff was reluctant to offer him (or any other RBs) because Huggins looked very good and we had Hayes as a commit. Our staff always wanted to take 2 RBs if possible. After the Hayes decommit, we offered Carlisle and Cam McDaniel and locked up McDaniel. After surprisingly whiffing on Carlisle and then predictably whiffing on Huggins, our staff has offered Remound. Remound is a very bright kid and our staff always liked him but the numbers game made this an impossibility until Huggins was off the board.

Hopefully it will not be too late to snag him and Niklas and reach our 25 cap for the year.

nice breakdown...lets see if his "hate" for the Irish was a reaction to not being offered...or something else.
