I'd rather have Niklas

Look, Niklas is a good player and he might turn out to be great, but Prestwood is a PERFECT offensive lineman for the spread. He's big, physical, and extremely athletic for his size. It REALLY hurt when we lost him. That's why we had to offer other guys that were below him on the coaches' board.

If Prestwood wants to come, and if it is possible on our end, you take him in a minute. (I have no idea if these rumors are true or false, just sayin', this kid is a really nice player.)

What? Ray Drew is not coming to ND? I thought this was a lock.

Jordan Prestwood (IMO) is a better fit for ND than Niklas. Prestwood is the ideal spread tackle. Taking him out of Florida would be nice for future recruiting as well. The more studs out of Florida, the better.

To be fair, with Niklas' frame (6'7") and speed he could develop into a very similar player to Prestwood as he adds more mass. I personally feel they are pretty comparable in the long run and in some ways Niklas might even end up being better. But that is not to discount your point, which is accurate, about Prestwood being a prototypical spread OT.

Upon further review, the 6'7" listed by Rivals appears to be a little generous. He is a "verified" 6'6" ~245. While Prestwood is bigger now, Niklas is faster and in a couple years who knows who will be more effective. Scout (the only one ranking Niklas as an OT) actually has him as a higher rated prospect than Prestwood and I would be very happy with either. We're also forgetting that Niklas was originally pursued by this staff as a DE prospect and could end up on either side of the ball.

We'd take Troy AND Jordan if they showed up on our doorstep but then again that isn't really news is it? Nor is this thread, just random speculation.

I didn't know who it was just that something was happening. Admittingly, Prestwood was a bit of a downer for me as well. However, he would be a excellent fit in this offense. Much more so than Nicolas IMO. Plus he wouldn't count as a schollie right away.

My preference for Niklas is based on versatility. He can play both sides of the ball and I gotta feeling his best football is ahead of him. Not saying JP's is not just my opinion. Again, either one would be a good fit for the spread, but I'd pick Niklas if I had to have one.

Ray Drew was playing a game with his recruitment the whole time. He was always going to Georgia, and was just using the other visits and facebook fodder to I guess try to hide his obvious bias while recruiting other players to Athens.

If I was a Stanford fan I would actually be kinda pissed with the stunt he pulled the other day, saying he was committing there when they had no chance. IMO it was just unnecessary to include (and possibly string along) an innocent by-standing fanbase.

He has already taken classes at Florida, so he would have to transfer and sit out a year unfortunately. Prob a redshirt anyway.

I was just re-reading through the bible, and found a passage where apparently the 2nd coming of Jesus is because he wants to help us win a title in 2011.Apparently he is playing OL.

Bob Diaco's DNA has been combined with God's to create a superhuman football player. He'll commit once he's gone through school, around 2025.
