I tell ya, I don't know if we give this kid the props he deserves. He's being overshadowed by Lynch and Tuitt but he's a stud. He's rated #100 on ESPN and in past years we would have been jumping up and down about his committment.

At that age, he could develop into a great player, who knows, but I'm glad we have him and definitely would not want to lose him.

I agree with you, nothing against Lynch and Tuitt because they are both great players. I caught Rabasa's high school game on ESPNU, Rabasa was quick to the ball and looked like he was making a tackle on every play.

Rabasa is going to be another powerhouse on our defense, and there's plenty of room for him on the field with Tuitt, Lynch, Ishaq et al. That amount of force all together is pretty frightening. I'm sure that Anthony is licking his chops. They're likely to be the next GANG-GREEN.

Rabasa and Councell are two guys that some people are over looking....

They are gonna be studs.

This is the best defensive class in a lonnnng time.

If defense wins championships, ND is soon to be back to its glory.

Nobody is overlooking Rabasa. He is a great player. As for Miami making a push, I would like to hear where this is being said????? I have not seen one thing regarding this.

Further, I believe Rabasa and Lynch are friends. I will have to see if 33 on DD has any insight. He seems to talk to Rabasa quite often.

Rabasa is an important part of the IRISH class.

Miami is all over Rabasa but I'm not sure the effect it's had on Rabasa. He seems solid with the Irish but let's not forget his decision came after a trip to South Bend. Before that his overwhelming leader was Miami. It's not over till its over (Aaron Lynch). Fingers crossed wth this kid because he has amazing potential.

I haven't seen anything saying Miami is on him but they only have like 10 committments, they're calling everybody and anybody.

It would be a lot more informative if people gave a bit more narrative to their posts so that the rest of us could judge where the comments are coming from. I don't mind actually reading a few sentences "the old fashioned way". If someone actually has "secret sources" that they don't want to reveal, well, h*ll, at least say that.

I would assume that Miami is chasing anyone and everyone because their current class stinks other than Chickillo. However, I have not seen ONE piece of info that suggests there is anything new about Rabasa.

So, for those making these statements, where are you getting your info???

That's part of the reason I posted on here, I think this kid is just as important and we hadn't been talking about him much.

my buddy just let me see his miami scout subscription and they dont even mention rabassa but one time in a thread talking about lynch...

"they will freeze their asses off yada yada yada"

btw, miami can only take ~15 verbals this class...so despite the low numbers they still need to be selective.

JMurphy,
Where did you see your, "Miami making a push" crap????? You have yet to give this.

I am getting the feeling you just pulled that one from the backside.

Just because you can't find it online doesn't mean it isn't happening as for my info I grew up and played ball in South Florida and some of my friends went to the U and played, and are now Alum/Boosters, I also have more friends that I can say the same about at FSU. SO I'm not saying that I'm an expert or I have inside info but the people that I discuss football with are pretty knowledgeable about their Alma Mater. All I try to do is bring a little extra info when I can about the schools in my area (I'm surrounded by Canes/Gators/Noles) I'd like to be able to post something without getting people up in arms asking for verification of a source.

No one's "pushing" you to say more than you know---blessings to you and appreciations for posting. But reflect a little on the impact of statements. If you feel something is "intuitively obvious" or something like that, we all want to know that this is the ground it's coming from. Rabasa is important to us, and most people, I think, come to IE to get the solidest info on recruits available outside of Kelly's War-room. We're all just as fired up as you are. We ALL owe it to one another to give everything we've got to our own little "family" here and take the extra care. Also, we have [most of us] pretty short memories. Don't take it personally. You wouldn't have a full set of green dots if nobody cared about your posts.

Well there's no sense in providing information if you don't have any type of evidence to back it up.

It'd be one thing if you've provided reliable information in the past however that isn't the case.

Sorry if I was a little touchy, I've been without sleep for a while now. I'm posting from the hospital where my newborn baby girl just had her 2nd surgery. If I post something it comes from people involved in the program that I'm posting about. What I hears about Miami making a push for Rabasa is not top secret info, however 2 Miami boosters have told me that he is still on their wish list(wich I'm sure is quite long) I didn't ever think he was going anywhere he just hasn't been any post on his thread for quite some time. Sorry for getting defensive

Miami still trying for Rabasa is general info I didn't think I needed a past history of reliable info for that

Heck, I'm 800 miles away with no insider info and I know that. Have you seen the commit list. I think I could get an offer.

This type of recruting info is from sources and is not always perfect and tightly. So I would suggest if you want evidence on every bit of recruting info...wait for ESPN to post it on their web site (usually one of the last ones to know).

I understand where you're coming from, but lately on this site there's been decommitment rumors from a number of ND commitments and it's difficult to figure out if there's any validity to it. Obviously, these kids are 18 year olds so it is perfectly understandable if they explore all of their options before deciding where they're going to spend the next 4 years of their lives, but it would be nice if people would identify whether they have some sort of source for their "insider information" or if it is just a hunch.

Fair enough.

What is funny is that a source called the Oracle had insight 2 days prior to Ishaq committing to ND.

Been kinda quiet lately, anyone heard anything other than the Canes making a push?

^this was the initial post that started all this. It only means he had heard Miami was making a push and wasn't sure of any other rumors. Nowhere does it say anything harsh. Lets all settle down a bit. Many seem to be getting uncomfortable after a HUGE weekend of commits.
