Length of Official Visit
The official visit shall not exceed 48 hours, measured from the time the prospect
first reaches campus or is entertained in any manner by the institution whichever
comes first, to the time of the prospect’s departure from campus. [B 13.7.2.1]
If the prospect remains in the locale in which the institution is located beyond the
48-hour period for reasons unrelated to the visit, the institution may not pay
his/her expenses to return home. [B 13.7.2.1]
B. Transportation
1. Only round trip transportation costs by direct route between the prospect’s
home and the institution’s campus may be paid.

who knows how it could be interpreted...could he reimburst the school for 1/2 the ticket??? or deduct what the equivalent of a one way ticket is off of the round trip...and call it even..idk and i think anyone on here doesn't either

If you wanted to diss a team that lied to you after you commited wouldn't you list their rivals as possible places of interest , just to tweek them a little.

WOW, did I just read that right? Davaris said there is going to be another surprise? Isn't (or wasnt) the kid he plays WR with another offer we had out early in the recruiting process? I thought he chose USC but I just may be reading wayyyyyy too much into it.

In regard to the rule about paying for OV transportation: I think the intent of the rule is to allow the institution to only pay for a round trip ticket, ensuring that a school does not end up footing the bill for kids to come and attend. Now this naturally has a lot of loop holes--you can miss a flight and any number of other scenarios one can envision. This is all open to legal interpretation, and, as it stands, it seems like ND should be working with NCAA compliance and finding out what the best course of action is legally.

I'm not saying they are trying to subvert the rules, only that they need to be crystal clear their actions cannot be taken in a negative manner. It is the interpretation of the rule where this can cause some serious problems. I think they'll be smart enough to understand the rule in its entirety before making a decision. I trust them.
