Les Miles body language and answers after the game last night made it clear he wants out of LSU to Ann Arbor. I am sure that all the UM fans will be excited, but I am not to afraid. What people do not realize is that Les will not be able to sign 35 kids at UM like he did at LSU. Further, he will not be able to discard players to create room like he did at LSU.

I say bring on Les. I will enjoy whooping up on the Mad Hatter.

WOW... I would not leave LSU for Michigan! But I would love to see Les Miles self destruct at Michigan where he wont be able to recruit as he has done at LSU.

If he does move... who steps in at LSU ???

Rumors are Jimbo Fisher, but I don't see either happening

Jimbo Fisher just signed an extension on his contract thru 2015 for like 2.75 mill/year.

ESPN interviewed Miles last night and reported this morning that he hasn't been contacted by U of M and has no intentions of leaving if they do. Said he loves LSU because he built the team he has, they are young, and he said he is having to much fun where he's at.

I don't think Miles is going to Michigan.

Wolverine fans have to hope that the big name will come, Harbaugh didn't, so now it's on to Miles.

Ok not that I think Miles is leaving or that Jimbo would have left FSU anyway. But it's not like LSU couldn't come in and offer him 4-5 million a year and he walk away.

Is Jimbo really the best they could do as a coach? He'd be a step up from Les but do they not have better options?

How would Jimbo be a step up? Miles has won an NC and just came off an 11 win season in the SEC while Jimbo won 9 games in a bad conference. Dont know how after one year you can say that.

You're right... I typed too quickly... I'm not sure Jimbo is a better coach than Less. That's why I'm asking if there is not someone else out there. I do however think that Less is an average at best coach who is lucky to have followed Saban and to have some of the best athletes in the country. IMHO LSU wins despite Less. I personally would LOVE to see him at Michigan!

What candidates are you talking about? I'm one of those people that doesn't think they are that many good coaches out there. Once you get a good one don't let him go.

So, basically, hes saying hes leaving tomorrow. :p

I don't think Les would do much less at scUM. I think he goes from one Orcville to another. and would do pretty decent at Michigan.

Could you imagine not having fired Weis last year. I would expect that Kelly would have been in Michigan this year. Would have been interesting thats for sure.

Michigan is in a world of hurt right now. There are a ton a rumours floating around about how Harbaugh wasn't even contacted. Mary Sue Coleman is a Lloyd Carr slappy and they want Brady Hoke. While Brandon is a Schembechler slappy and he wants Miles. I was truly frightened when UM hired RR. And had they had even a mediocre defense it could have gotten ugly.

+1

He had a very young team this year and went 11-2. He is not going to leave what he has built at LSU (with a shot at a NC next year) for the disaster that currently is UM.

Miles has a stellar recruiting class and could win a national title next year.

Why would he go to Michigan? He has to rebuild their defense, rework their offense, etc.

Plus their recruiting class this season is an absolute disaster (by Michigan standards). Complete lack of elite talent.

I think Miles would be making a BIG mistake by leaving for Michigan. Having to rebuild the entire program will be a monumental (but not totally impossible) undertaking.

If I'm not mistaken, Fox had a stat up during the Sugar Bowl that Miles is 13-2 after a loss at LSU. I will take that in the SEC every day of the week, and twice on Saturdays.

That's the bottom line!!! He cathces heat surely when he loses and he's criticized for the way he wins...he wants out of that mess. I'm sure Fichigan won't care how he wins if he gets it done.

I've thought Miles was the Michigan guy...thought that when they hired RR, but Miles was still on his honeymoon so to speak...honeymoon at LSU is over. He'll start taking heat regularly if he doesn't play for an NC again soon, and he's feeling that.

The situation at Michigan requires a young coach who is willing to rebuild the program, not a premier coach who is now with a NC contender. You can't expect the man at the top to trudge on down into a hell hole to try to fix it.

What about a guy like Corwin Brown. When he was here there were a few people that said he could be good head coach. Does anyone think they would reach out to him?
