Kind of a shame. Harbaugh could have been King of college football, even more than he is right now.
He could still be the king of college football. He's going to be a high profile candidate for a college job even when he eventually get's fired from San Fran.

Just get us players. We will be successful next year - and have a top 10 class (1st prediction for next year). With this class starting as the future, we need some anchors (and "lynch"pins) to handle the the beastly 2012 schedule. Kelly and company will build the foundation of ND again, just get us some hard fought recruiting victories.

I agree with many of the posts here in that I am very excited we don't have to match up against Harbaugh next year.

However, our team IS at the point where we should fear no one. I am not saying that Oregon or Auburn might not still take us behind the woodshed, but I think we can line up against anyone in the country and have at least a "punchers chance" of pulling off a win. I'd love another crack at any team on our schedule this past season with the team we have right now.

I agree IrishAlum1997. I am more interested in the recruiting side going forward. They are in the same wheel house for the same recruits.

I like this hire by the 49ers. Harbaugh is an awesome coach, and SF has been needing a good one for quite some time. Give Harbaugh some time and I think he will turn around the 49ers franchise. As for us, I like our chances even better now with Amir.
