I was at the game on Friday and have always wanted to meet some of the players. So I proceeded to the Raddisson after the game to see if I could catch up with a few of them. We're hanging out in the bar when some of the players start arriving. I was really hesitant to approach them as it was only family that was there. I quickly glance up and notice Manti and I tell myself "F** it, I can't pass up this oppurtunity!". So I go up and ask for his autograph. Then I congratulated him on a great game and season. I ended up getting TJ, Trevor and Hendrix. The highlight of my night, was getting Rudolph, Harrison and Allen's signatures!
I sparked up a little conversation with Armando and asked him how his injury was coming along. He said very well and I asked if he was ready for the combine, and he replied yes. I wish I would've talked a little more to all the players but honestly, I was in awe. I had my idols right in front of me.
I have to say, I was very impressed once I approached them and they were very willing to sign. I've seen/heard that some college players might act "stuck up" and not willing to. My dad's favorite player was TJ. Seemed very humble and shy at times.
Take it for what it's worth...I asked Rudolph "We're going to see you in an Irish uniform next year right?" to which he replied, "You sure are".
Definitely a great night and a memorable one!
