I think Golson will be Irish on Saturday night.

As for Perryman, I wouldn't close the door on him yet. If he TRUELY wants to come to Notre Dame then the door remains open until NSD.

Chickillo would be a steal from the state of Florida. It would be nice to poach one back in our favor after whats happened in the last month.

Could he be talking about 2012 recruit Matt Jones? He from Seffner, Florida which is near Tampa.

Tampa really isn't "upper Florida" though. Ocala, Jacksonville, Gainesville, Pensacola, Tallahassee etc are "upper Florida" to me. Maybe he meant "upper" in relation to where he currently was near Miami but I guess I view Tampa as being more middle of the state.

DeVondrick Nealy is undecided in Monticello FL (Can't get much more North than that) but I don't see anywhere ever linking him to Notre Dame. BUT Michigan was high on his list, and that might change things with Hayes, and Hart going there.

Lynch isnt coming....get over it. Alford is doing his due diligence! Very common in the recruiting world to visit regardless of intentions.

I wish this kid well, would have liked to have him but there has been some damage done by silly postings. Maybe we should look at this board as a recruiting tool instead of a complaint post. I dont do any facebook or calling out and maybe we could all think before we rant. If someone disguises themselves as Irish thats another story but people who are interested in the best for this program should think twice before they post. This site could be used as a recruiting plus rather than a negative. Most of the guys/gals on here are savy and real football fans who love Notre Dame. Any recruit would love to have this in his corner, the calling a guy out type poster or negative crap is not good for Notre Dame football. It would be nice to here a recruit say-Hey man those people on Irishenvy are super and know football and have Notre Dame's best interest at heart.

Well, it certainly was an *** kissing board for one recruit before he de-committed. Which kind of proves the point you're trying to make: what people on a message board are saying isn't likely to be a big factor. That being said, perhaps a few bridges were burned in this case.

If I remember correctly, it was his dad that really wanted him to go to UCLA and Milton really wanted to go to ND.

I've been here for years... in that time myself and others have seen comments from kids all over the country stating they won't go to school "X" because of what the fans say on message boards...

say what you want... it may be the exception or whatever... but it does happen.

How about thinking about the mentality of some posters on here bitching and berating some recruits for their decision. Some people take it as a pesonal insult and fell like they need to puff their chest out and post negative things because an 18 year old decided not to come to ND......get over it does it make you feel that much better to post your feelings? That's the mentality I question

If there was a way to hold people accountable for the BS they spout on here, I'd bet the foulness would be drastically reduced.
