I agree, it's a misnomer.

And even back then, those kids were just inner city teens from harsh environments. Watching the 30 for 30 doc. on Miami kinda of opened my eyes to the opportunity that those guys were being given by being in Coral Gables and away from situations that could have claimed there lives. Of course some of them got into trouble, Irish players have gotten into trouble too over the years. That rivalry was amplified even more so by the "Convicts" label. I love the football aspect of the rivalry but from a relationship standpoint, throwing title on them was harsh and continuing it today wouldnt be completely unwarranted.

Most people here will be on the East side... and three years ago when ND just missed the Sun Bowl TONS of ND fans were on the east side... plus the East Side is the bigger of the two... they will not be saving seats for UM fans in the bigger section believe me...

Sun Bowl home site... just google sun bowl... then hit th ticket link... I just got 11 tikets for less than 300 bucks... that's the cheapest ND game I've ever heard of.

I'm staying at my wife's parents... we where gonna be in El Paso anyway for X Mas... they live right at the base of Trans Mountain. the big mounatin NorthWest of UTEP

You guys are a lucky group. The only time I can afford to see ND is when they're in Seattle (which hasn't happend in years), Provo (again hasn't happened in years) or in Colorado Springs (also hasn't happened in years).

I wish all of you attending safe travels, good drink, a good game (meaning ND win) and of course something to help your tonsils/voice box recover the day after the game.

TIFWIW: I got my tickets 3 hours ago on the East Side Sction 23...and now I did a mock ticket purchase and now the best available is on the West Side Section 6...Looks like the East side filling up....
