As to the Champs deliberation a little birdie told me that they are questioning the WVU fans ability to travel due to the economy. Orlando isn't exactly the cheapest place to visit, and some of the voters feel that WVU will not get them the turnout that they need. FWIW

This makes perfect sense. WVU has a very strong local fan base but they will put about half the fans in the seats that ND will (if that). The question is whether the Champ Sports Bowl wants to bank on taking a better ND team in the next 4 years.

The sun bowl gives you 3 more days or 2 more of practice. I also think Notre Dame wants to keep the Champs bowl in their back pocket.

good i dont normally like to kick people while there down but im licking my chops at this one..... plus all the kids from florida looking at miami is gonna get mud in the eye for doubting us......

its big, its in texas and where playing a team from fla. and when we win it will be even bigger. i can already see kids reaching for that nd hat after the us army all american bowl

I hope we win. 2010 has been a bad year for championship games for me, how fitting that the last day of 2010 my team finally takes a trophy home! GO IRISH!
