What bowl do we play in?

I've dropped $550 at this point. Worst case is to shed them at face value or go...

looks like we'll know tomorrow night. FL Citrus Sports will be holding an announcement event at a venue downtown. I'm sure things will be leaked before hand so if I hear anything I'll post it right away.

Much appreciated! I hope we don't get screwed into some other meineke car care bowl or some bs. It's got to be the Sun Bowl.

Miami versus Notre Dame would be epic and give some fire to next year's game in Chicago!

Let's hope Santa has kept me off the naughty list.

My guess is the Sun Bowl, but my hopes are the Champs Sports. They have first dibs on ND from what I understand it's their decision what happens to us.

ISD says most likely Sun Bowl, but they don't mention an opponent. How likely is it that it will be Miami? What other teams are possibilities?

Nothing will be certain until tomorrow, although we can guess what is probable and most likely FCS will not announce until tomorrow and if they send an invite ND will come. I'd hate to see you guys gamble on buying tickets until it is fo sho

I have a friend who played for Purdue in the Champs Sports Bowl a few years back, he still has a very nice ring, personal DVD player, jacket, and several other small items from it.

Miami is loaded with talent, and who is their coach? It's tough to develop a game plan against a coach whom you know very little about.

Miami's defensive backs will give Tommy Rees everything he can handle. I know Kelly will fully utilize those fifteen practices, but they are just so talented. Notre Dame's defense will also have its hands full.

We, as fans, cannot begin to take anything for granted. Notre Dame's offensive woes have not been solved and the defense has looked stellar but only for a month. I wonder what will happen against a team without a coach, it's just such a unique circumstance.

I was at the Ohio State - Miami game (I'm an Ohio State student in their architecture school), although I left at halftime because i couldn't handle not seeing Notre Dame play. :) That said, Ohio State physically dominated them. Miami's athleticism kept them in the game via returning kicks (plus Ohio State has had horrible special teams coverage this season).

If Notre Dame comes out as the Fighting Irish for this rivalry game, then they will win and finish the season on a 7-2 run.

They have played ok with out there starting QB. They have good team speed however you did make a good point if we do play them we will have 15 practices to get ready for them and be able to expand our offensive play book. We need to be able to stretch the field a little more.

Sun Bowl would be great I hate the "U" with a passion. Hopefully I can get the night off from work!

Don't get your hopes up for the Champs bowl. They would rather blow their 1 in 4 shot when ND is better, but not BCS worthy.

Which means 2pm here. I start work at 4:30. Need to take off, watching the ND game with dad is one of my 4 year old son's favorite things to do!

If I were a Champs Sport bowl executive, I would wait for Kelly to establish a better overall team (our offense does not bring a lot of neutral fans out of their seat). As a ND fan base, we all expect to be better then 7-5 in the future three years as well. If we are not BCS bound but have a better team, it would be heartbreaking to scramble among the lower tier bowls. The Champs bowl bid is better for both sides to wait...

Sun here we come!

Sounds like it will be the Sun Bowl Miami v. ND, but that won't be for certain until 8:30PM eastern time. Because the Champs Bowl, said they won't make their decision until that time and they have first dibs.

But it seems to be leaning toward the Sun Bowl

not on that side... doesn't matter though... with a Bowl against da U a good showing will help recruiting nation wide.
