I'd rather him go to Rutgers than a Florida or Cali school. If it's not us though.

He did not make the game due to an illness in the family.

Irish are still "very strong" in his top 5

And according to ISD, Shuler didn't make the game either. Not exactly what I was hoping for out of the Yankee Stadium game ...

Really? Thank you for filling us in because his Shuler's father was misleading me by telling me that ND has made strides for both Miles and Savon. Not to mention the fact that they are both friends with Bennett Jackson who is getting legit playing time so I'm sure he is saying nothing but terrible things about ND. Also not to mention that Rutgers (both recruits early lean) have lost 4 in a row an just gave up 69 to a decent Cinci team.

I think we are siting just fine for both. I'm not gonna guarentee that we get either one of them but to say they "are not coming here" is not smart at this point. Stanford looks to be our biggest competition for Shuler at this point but I like our chances if we get him to the banquet. Savon will become more and more realistic the more we do on te field. A big win against USC and a good showing at a bowl will go a long way. We are still very much in the mix for both of them.

Taking is word isn't any better

Taking his father's word is not any better than some random person that knows nothing about Miles Shuler or Savon Huggins? I can see your reasoning in that............:jerkit:

His father isn't feeding ISD a bunch of bull s h i t and telling them what they want to hear. He didn't say he was an ND lock or that ND was his number one. He just said that ND has peaked his interest of late because of their play on the field. Im going to go out on a limb and roll with the kids father on this one. Like I already said, I'm not saying his is Irish but for you to say there is no way is dumb. Especially when his father (who seems to be slightly closer to the situation than you) says otherwise.

Entirely different recruits and situations. Savon and Miles have not committed anywhere and have not claimed to have a favorite or lead anyone on. They have both stated that they will take all their officials before deciding. There is a long way to go before NSD. For 17 year old kids, it usually has a lot to do with "what have you done for me lately." A win against USC and a bowl victory would go a long way with these two and all other recruits considering ND. We have gained a lot of ground on both and winning will continue to help.

Rather concerning that they didn't make it to the game, but we're still in this. The team has to perform on the field and everything else will just work out.

I was just watching a video of Huggins and man do I want this kid in blue and gold. He runs like his pants are on fire and there is a bucket of water in the endzone.

Big effing deal how the Lynch 'deal' went down! Did you see how the Te'o 'deal' went down? How about the Michael Floyd deal? How about the Dayne Crist deal? How about the Golden tate deal? The Chris Watt deal? What about the Armando Allen deal? The Tai'ler Jones deal? Need I go on?

See, if you base all of the Irish recruiting based on the insane Aaron lynch saga, then we'd NEVER have any recruits other than guys like Daniel Smith who have bled Irish since birth.

But thankfully, the Irish coaches haven't thought like you and we've landed some quality recruits. The way you speak with such finality over things you know nothing about is ridiculous. Suggins didn't make the game but made a point to sit down with his family to watch it. Shuler didn't make the game but made it a point to sit down with his dad to watch it and was impressed.

And guess what? EVERY school has decommitments, even the mighty Trogans and the Florida criminals of Urban Liar. You think they cry in their milk, or do you think they just go out and get the next stud to commit?

When you say blanket statements based on zero facts like you did about Huggins and Shuler, expect a backlash from posters. This backlash was actually milder than I thought it would be...

Thank you for saying what I've been feeling about this loser. I'm not sure how he gets pleasure from being such a sack but to each their own.
